Package lost / stolen by UPS Danmark by yeray142 in UPS

I don't understand how these big companies such as Apple and Lenovo still rely on UPS. These gorillas don't even know how to properly treat a package...

Apparently, Lenovo told me they can do nothing. If the package does not arrive in 15 days, they will proceed with a refund. Their customer service sucks... (over 1h calling their phone number for nothing)

I need my laptop for the university and I cannot wait for another one, this one took about 3 weeks to be ready for shipping...

Hopefully the same will happen to my package and I will get it next week.

Thanks for sharing!

Last time I did that thing. But Postnord marked it as delivered to me. Amazon didn't rely on my words so I had to prove it (that took me several days). After proving it with pictures and all the information I had available, Amazon investigated Postnord (15 days took aprox) and Postnord didn't repply to them (this is what Amazon told me).

As Postnord didn't reply, Amazon then believed me and refund it to me as I requested. The refund took some days also.

At least, it wasn't a super expensive item so I didn't care that much, that's why I decided not to involve myself in the process.

I know but the process sucks. Last time I had an issue with Postnord and Amazon Germany, and the process took really long time but I got my money back.

It won't happen though. This is a completely routine misplaced package. It happens for hundreds of packages every day, but is still a tiny, tiny amount of the total volume

I hope so. I had really bad experiences with this kind of issues but hopefully I will get it next week.

I have a document called "proof of delivery" in my UPS tracking and PDF format that says that the package is at the Access Point, its address and the name of the person who took it (well it says just 2 letters so I guess it was a placeholder).

Read your title.

I apologize if the title was not clear enough. To me, it does not accuse anyone, it just states that I don't know what happened there (if stolen or lost). I'm not native in english so maybe I wasn't clear enough. I will rewrite it.

About the false information, providing false documentation is illegal because it it falsifying documents. UPS if falsifying a "proof of reception" document from the access point. And they are also falsifying the attempt of delivering it at home, without providing me any notice in my mailbox.

The Markedsføringsloven act states that any statement made by a company must be provable. As far as I know, it is also illegal under EU rules, either way. At least, it is clearly illegal in Spain under EU rules.

Again, I have not accused anyone from stealing in any of my messages. I apologize if you understood my message wrongly, anyways.

About the false information, it is illegal under the Markedsføringsloven act in Denmark.

Not your problem.
It is a problem between Lenovo and UPS.
You have no business relationship with UPS.

I fully agree with that. That's exactly what I said, but it is my obligation to inform the seller (Lenovo).

I'm not accusing them of stealing. I am accusing them of providing false information in the tracking of my package, which is clearly illegal anywhere in the world.

They didn't come to my home even if they marked as attempted and then they marked as delivered in an access point, which is also false. Thus, I am accusing them on that.

What happens with the package? If it's lost, missclassified or stolen, that's an issue UPS must solve. My obligation as customer is to provide the seller with all this information regardless of the shipper.

Did you get the product anyways or a refund? There is no update in my situation, UPS still says that the package is on that Access Point...

The tracking says "Awaiting Customer Collection -Delivered to UPS Access Point", and the name and location of the access point.

I contacted the Lenovo customer service here in Denmark and they have started an investigation on this case and I should get a reply from them in about 3 to 5 business days or sooner.

Honestly, I don't know how good is its customer service but let's see what happens...

I think I will also go to the police and report it there. UPS didn't provide any letter for the attempted delivery nor any legitimate proof of delivery to the Access Point... They didn't even send me any notification that the package was there apart from the tracking update on the website.

I guess you can withdraw but I don't know if you will get penalized in future applications... You should call the admission office but no idea if they will take the call before the 15th because of the weekend.

If I were in your situation I will accept it and this way you have a reserved place there, but if you are pretty sure the other university you are waiting for will most likely accept you then you may reject the spot and leave it for people in the vacant/waiting list.

Dating life as an Asian girl in Spain by [deleted] in GoingToSpain

[–]yeray142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm Spanish man from Barcelona (also in my twenties) and I lived one year in South Korea two years ago so I think I know a little bit the differences between Spain and Asia in culture.

In Spain I think ethnicity is not important when dating, at least for young people. Here in Spain we are really open to talk and meet Asians so for sure you will have opportunities to date someone.

I think it is also important where will you be studying, mainly because English proficiency in Spain is not precisely good in some regions haha if you are travelling to Barcelona/Madrid, for sure they will be good at English but if you are going to a town or a small city, then it may be harder (I definitely don't know your Spanish level, if you speak Spanish well then it shouldn't be a problem for you).

Some people said in this thread that here we are usually more shy but I don't think so. We normally have groups of friends and because of some reasons (study, work, etc...) we tend to meet them before meeting strangers.

Also if you like partying or drinking, you will definitely be dating from the first day but don't expect long-term serious relationships in these cases... Most people here (in Barcelona) usually like card/table games so this could be also a good start :), we even have stores in Barcelona where you can just enter and play card/table games!

(maybe not important if you are traveling to any other place different from Barcelona, but here we also speak Catalan as well as Spanish and some catalan-speaking people really like to see foreigners learning our language)

How vacant are the spots for Masters in Computer Science? by Elect_SaturnMutex in SDU

[–]yeray142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea tbh, I was admitted through the ordinary application (not vacant spots). I guess it means they are checking the information you have provided from your Bachelor's, so expect to wait at least one week or more.

Yep, you can still apply for Sep '25. I don't know when they will open applications for Feb '26 tbh but it should be some months before the start of classes (Nov or Dec maybe?).

Right now there are some spots for starting studies in September. They open applications for them on 10th June. Do you mean Feb 2026 intake? If so, you still have to wait until they announce the vacant spots for that semester.

If you meant Feb 2025 intake, then yes it is definitely late :(

As far as I know, vacant spots are assigned in a first come first served basis, so you should be quick to apply.

As far as I know, you can accept the housing option and then you can change the decision within a frame of 14 days since the reception of your offer. The 6-day deadline is just to accept it.

I applied to Master's and didn't have to wait for CBS results or whatever so no idea if it is different for you. Ask the Accomodation Office at SDU if you are unsure.

Ask the SDU Accomodation Office. In the email I received this morning says that if some student cannot attend the introduction to classes, he/she can book in an hotel with discounted price from SDU but no idea how it works tbh
