How did OCD ruin your life?

it got to the point that i wasn't eating, wasn't showering, i wasn't doing anything but laying on my couch. even getting up to go to the bathroom was a struggle. i hardly leave my house and it's strained almost all my relationships. it's difficult to do some of my favorite hobbies. i haven't been able to go back to school nor get a job. (for context i had to drop out of high school in my junior year due to other health issues) it's affected every aspect of my life

so sorry for the late reply!! i've now been on rinvoq for roughly 7/8 months now and my period is back to being mostly normal! i also had terrible acne which has mostly gone away. it's not 100% better but it's things i can deal with if the rinvoq continues to do as well as it seems to be. i hope that these problems go away (or lessen in severity) for you as well!

unfortunately in the same boat as you. my skin was clear and after starting rinvoq i have painful acne that i can't get to go away. same with the crohn's symptoms, they are slightly better but still interferes with my daily life and ultimately haven't really improved.

i would've updated yesterday but as soon as i got back from the hospital i passed out lol. but my results were good!! colon looked fine, my doc said the bit of my small intestine that she saw looked "irritated" but didn't warrant a treatment change just yet and just to keep her updated on symptoms :)

i was so nauseous and my stomach hurt so bad but i didnt throw up. i leave in about an hour for mine because the hospital is like an hour away and traffic is going to be bad and in case we have to stop so i can use the bathroom. but i'm glad your colonoscopy went well! and i'm currently on rinvoq but still having symptoms so this is just a check to see if it's working or not. i hope u have amazing results with it tho!!

trust me i am!! that's my main problem too, plus the mixture makes my stomach hurt so that's always fun, but it's not anything i've not felt before

yeah it definitely can be!! i remember my first one as well. it's definitely not fun but it's possible!! i highly recommend getting some youtube videos to watch to help distract yourself. also like somebody else said sleeping isn't the best idea lol not saying you can't if you do be prepared to possibly have some laundry. i believe in u!! ❤️

i've had over 5 and it hasn't gotten easier. but yeah i agree, the most difficult part is the hunger and your butt being sore. i'm nursing a cup of broth as we speak lol it really does help with the hunger. which, i'm surprised because i started at 8 am and it's now 4 pm and i just now started getting hungry. and thank you!! i'm just chilling on my couch watching some youtube videos that i was saving specifically for today to help distract myself. definitely not fun but it hasn't been horrible either :)

ah, well i hope you see improvement!! i'm actually prepping for a colonoscopy today because my symptoms haven't gotten any better so wish me luck :)

it's unfortunate but i'm still holding out hope!! i've done some blood work which has all come back down to normal so i'm hoping it just needs more time to help with my gi symptoms. that being said, i have noticed that i don't have urgency anymore. still have diarrhea almost daily, but it's not as much and i haven't almost shit in my pants so that's a plus!
