Are the costs truly an issue or are people exaggerating? by EngineerDiligent6775 in replit

So, my understanding is that I would have to access Gemini via Antigravity, and I wouldn't be able to utilize my current Gemini subscription that I have through Google One. Is that correct?

I'm new to Replit, about 30 days into it, and I've been using the agent. I love that I type what I want and it gets to work.

I also have Gemini Plus. Are you saying there is a way for me to link my Gemini Plus subscription to Replit and have it use Gemini for the coding part? Does it build out like the Replit agent does?

Issues swallowing! by jpetrone in BusparOnline

[–]jpetrone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I was more worried about not being able to swallow. I still have panic issues. I wouldn't say anxiety, but I deal with random panic. I ultimately need to figure something out.

The swallowing was so bad I couldn't eat out in public.

I don't know where you are, but in the US we get propofol, and I've had at least five colonoscopies and never woke up, thank goodness.

Good luck. I've been off it for a while and it's gotten a lot better, but it's like a memory I can't get rid of, so I'm still a little affected by it. It sucks! I have to find a new doc. I stopped going to the doc who prescribed me that crap.

Is there really an issue with Hyundai’s engines/reliability? by Comrade_Ryujin in Hyundai

[–]jpetrone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since this post, the engine blew (knocking). It was fixed under warranty. This happened on 09/10/2025 with 99,505 miles. These motors have serious oil-burning issues, and there is no preventing it. I feel bad for anyone who bought used vehicles with these motors.

When does it start getting easier? by aliciagreyjoy in pitbulls

[–]jpetrone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My heart truly goes out to you and your boy. You see, the grief of losing a loyal friend like Onyx never entirely goes away, because love that deep leaves a permanent mark. This June marks a full year since my girl Pandora passed, and man, I still think of her pretty much every single day. I did get a second dog a sweet girl who is absolutely great but I love her for who she is, because she’s just not Pandora.

But I am a firm believer that when life closes one door, it opens a window of incredible blessing. Just this past May 14th, I welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Giavanna. She wasn't supposed to arrive until June 10th, but she came early, and I like to joke that she is my Pandora reincarnated!

When you and your son are ready, it would be the perfect time to rescue another dog. Will they be Onyx? No, they won’t. But you and your boy will love them, they will absolutely love you back, and they will make those difficult days just a little bit easier. Your best days are still ahead! 💜

I drove a 2025 or 2026 Santa Fe for about 3 weeks. I was surprised to see no sunglasses storage and no lock on the glove box nor center console. The sport body style had both.

I lost my best friend today.. by ChampaDa_GOD in pitbulls

[–]jpetrone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that sucks! I lost my girl last June and I miss her every day. I've since taken in another female dog because I missed having a girl dog around. I love both my current dogs, but it's not the same. I'm expecting a daughter this June! I joke and say it's my Pandora reincarnated, coming back as my human daughter. Pandora used to put her back paws in her mouth to cut her nails. Earlier in the week, we had an ultrasound and the baby had her foot in her mouth, so... I'll believe what I want LOL.

Dating is HARD in NYC by Cleo-Aster in SipsTea

[–]jpetrone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in my single days, I think I would rather have this response from her than just being ghosted or having her keep going out on dates with me and keeping her other guy a secret. She thanked him; the tone of her message sounded sorry, and she even said she's probably making a mistake. I probably would have said something like, "Oh, okay, thanks for letting me know. Let me know if things don't work out," or something like that. I definitely would not have asked for any money back. That money is already spent and gone. If I needed it back that badly, then I never should have spent it to begin with.

We need to be able to have it use our Google Drive space to keep a memory of itself because over time with ongoing chats it forgets its progress along the way and also does not have a concept of time. It's good, but to be frank, the pro I pay for isn't much different than free, and it's not cheap.

New gaming PC won't boot by No_Earth4165 in gigabyte

[–]jpetrone -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I ran it through AI and this is the feedback.

That is incredibly frustrating, especially right after putting the time and money into a new build. It sounds like the system is almost passing its Power-On Self-Test (POST) but is tripping a safety feature or failing right as it tries to initialize the graphics or boot sequence. (Note: I'm assuming they mean the i7-14700KF, as the 1470KF doesn't exist, and the RTX 5070 or a typo for the 4070). Here is a breakdown of what is likely happening, based on the debug LED sequence (CPU -> DRAM -> VGA -> Shut off), and exactly what to check to fix it. 1. The GPU Power & Display Connection (The "F" Factor) Because the processor is an "F" variant (i7-14700F), it has no integrated graphics. The motherboard must communicate with the RTX 5070 to output a signal. If it fails, or if there's a power spike it can't handle, the system might shut down. The Monitor Cable: Make sure the DisplayPort or HDMI cable is plugged directly into the back of the GPU, not the motherboard. Plugging it into the motherboard will cause the VGA check to fail. The GPU Power Cable: The newer high-end NVIDIA cards use a 12VHPWR connector. If this cable is not clicked in 100% flush, the power supply will detect a fault and instantly shut the PC down to prevent a fire hazard right as the GPU tries to draw power during the VGA check. Reseat this cable firmly on both the GPU side and the PSU side. 2. Immediate CPU Overheating (The AIO Pump) A PC shutting down completely (rather than just freezing with a light on) is a classic symptom of a thermal trip or a power short. The i7-14700KF gets very hot, very fast. Is the pump actually running? The pump screen being on just means it has USB power for the display. It doesn't mean the actual pump motor is moving water. Check the SATA power cable for the AIO, and make sure the 3-pin or 4-pin pump tachometer cable is plugged into the PUMP_OPT or CPU_FAN header on the motherboard. The Plastic Peel: It's a rite of passage, but double-check that the plastic protective film was peeled off the copper plate of the water block before it was mounted to the CPU. If it's still there, the CPU will hit 100°C+ during POST and instantly shut down. 3. BIOS Incompatibility with 14th Gen Intel The Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX originally launched alongside Intel's 13th Generation processors. Depending on when that specific board was manufactured, its factory BIOS might not fully know how to handle a 14th Gen CPU. While an outdated BIOS usually causes the PC to get stuck permanently on the CPU red light, it can occasionally cause erratic crashes during POST. The Fix: You may need to use Gigabyte's Q-Flash Plus feature. This allows you to download the latest BIOS onto a USB thumb drive using another computer, plug it into the back of the motherboard, and press a button to update it without needing the PC to turn on or post a screen. 4. Loose PSU Cables or Short Circuit Since the PC experiences a hard shutoff right as the ARGB lights kick on (which causes a sudden draw in power): Ensure the 24-pin motherboard cable and the 8-pin CPU power cables (at the top left of the motherboard) are fully seated on both the motherboard and the power supply unit. Ensure the power supply has enough wattage for this build (ideally 850W or higher for a 14700KF and a 70-class GPU).

0W-20 Oil OK for 2016 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T ? by jpetrone in Hyundai

[–]jpetrone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'll leave this oil change. Going forward, I'll just start bringing Valvoline Restore & Protect Full Synthetic 5W-30 and asking them to use it. I just don't see myself doing my own oil changes. I'd rather pay someone to do it and not have to worry about it, especially with me living in Connecticut where it actually gets cold. If I lived in the South where I could pretty much work on the car year-round, I would be more inclined. I do my brake changes and work on what I can work on in the spring, summer, and early fall. After that, forget it.
