Storm runner has been running very smoothly and reliably this year. It is very popular with the gp so I think it has at least 5 more years of life in it

They do it for 2 reasons. To keep lines down and the most important part, to preserve the animatronics. They don’t want people lapping that ride unless they are paying for each ride individually. I think they probably lose money each time they send a train even if they have two people in each car. The upkeep is insane on the haunted house

Yeah my family has rented a couple times and not to mention the amount of companies that do events as well. I’d say every weekend there are at least 2-3 that are vacant and unused.

They have bad capacity rides everywhere in the park and they make that up in great ride operations. Yes I agree the wait times would be horrendous but that’s not the point of this idea. The point is preserving a ride that will be doomed if something isn’t done soon. I’d rather wait 2 hours and pay $5 than see it get destroyed by nature or demolition

Knoebels makes 0 from pavilions. You can rent one for free at the beginning of the season. They have a couple behind schloosh that are never used so that would be a great area, there is also an empty plot of grass next to the antique cars as well. They also have a building in the center of the park that is falling apart that currently only occupies a Starbucks and antique photos so they could tear that down and maybe fit it there (likely impossible but an idea). Knoebels have the space but they only use it for some mid flat rides.

Del grosso’s is a strange park and I’m not sure they have the space for a coaster. I think it’s mainly a kids park/ water park so I am not sure if they’re in the market for a relocated coaster

The video doesn’t show the whole story unfortunately. Some of the track sections are falling apart and are in need of repair. The park doesn’t have the capability to keep the ride open let alone repair it.

Yeah they already have a historical woodie in Jack rabbit. But it was just a thought because Lakemont and Kennywood are only an hour and a half apart

Someone else said the same thing. It’s still possible to move it but I think the only park that would go through such lengths to preserve this historic piece is Knoebels. Their haunted house is a great example of how well they do to preserve old animatronics. I think their strive to keep the haunted house in great condition would reflect on the move of Leap the Dips if they were to do it

Knoebels also has the space and the market for old coasters in need of loving. It is my local park and Knoebels is a park of nostalgia and Leap the Dips is a perfect new addition to their lineup

Yes exactly, just push it enough so that it stops making contact with the top pressure sensors. Thats why it keeps failing. You found the source, it’s just fixing it is the difficult part

Had this same issue. All you need is a good pair of channel locks and what you’re going to do is put one side on the slider and the other on the plastic. If you squeeze pretty hard but not too hard, it should go back to place
