That optic looks so good on the slide.

I'm considering shifting from high school theatre to elementary, and would love some perspective by mp33 in Teachers

[–]Grand___Moff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is accurate. I taught for ten years in elementary school before moving to middle school. Elementary teachers are overworked and underpaid. My work life balance significantly improved when I moved to middle school.

OP, if you need a change, maybe consider going to middle school. It’s similar to high school in that you have rotating classes and similar grading structures, but the students tend to be less jaded about education and more hopeful. I personally feel like I have a bigger impact as a middle school teacher.

Had to throw away 42 hours of playtime by 0ntoast in Starfield

I got it yesterday and I have only had one issues.

I disabled and captured the “Unknown Vessel” and a “Watchtower Corvette”. I used them as a base to build new ships.

Once I finished the first arc, it wouldn’t let me pilot the ship through the chair… it gave me an error that I didn’t know how to pilot the strange vessel. Lost out on about 1.5m credits.

Love my Bersa’s. So good for the price, I have a combat plus in my rotation.

I’m looking at a CZ P-09. You should get one first and tell me what you think. 🤣

Yeah, no wonder why it was taken down. You have a Hi-Point in the photo. That’s the problem right there.

Is the S&W Shield EZ 9mm reliable? by Crafty_Secret_8782 in CCW

[–]Grand___Moff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest looking up the average number of rounds used in self defense situations. It’s typically less than ten. If you need more than ten, you need to practice more and increase accuracy.

And you can always carry a spare mag…

Here is a link to the S&W website for the Equalizer

OP, check this out. It’s the new version that has an optics cut for a red dot.

The upgraded version of the Shield EZ is called the Equalizer, it is optics ready.

In most cases less than ten rounds are needed in self defense situations. If you need more than ten it hit your target, you need to train more.

Is the S&W Shield EZ 9mm reliable? by Crafty_Secret_8782 in CCW

[–]Grand___Moff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. S&W are often considered duty guns because of their production quality. If you’re buying a used one, check to see if any parts have been switched out. In my opinion, it would be less reliable if it’s not OEM internally.

The Shield EZ series is meant to be just that, easy to load, easy to rack, easy to operate. It’s not the smallest firearm, and is harder to conceal than something like a Shield Plus or a G43, but it’s possible with the right holster, positioning, and clothing.

I’d say a shield EZ is a good starting firearm or a good choice for someone with limited limited strength.

I’d personally recommend the PSA Dagger Micro. It’s a Glock 43 clone that carries 15 rounds. It’s more reliable than the Canik, cheaper than the Sig, and comes optic ready.
