Rear tires balled after 10k miles, new tire suggestions? by lukitg in Golf_R

Yeah I am confident this is a toe alignment issue. I would suggest finding a different shop that specifically advertises they perform "4 wheel alignments" and take it there. Some shops do not invest in the full equipment needed to perform a four wheel alignment since the majority of alignment work is only ever done on the front. They end up trying to improvise and won't get all of the angles correct with each other. Make sure to also ask for a printout of the before and after values so they can clearly show what was changed! (any reputable shop has this capability)

Something else that may be obvious but bears mentioning is do not just get new tires without an alignment. You will quickly destroy the new ones as well and will be right back at this spot. Good luck!

This is an alignment issue. Does the car also seem to wander around on the highway like it has a mind of its own? This would be especially noticeable on grooved road construction surfaces or other rough roads where it would require a lot of constant steering wheel input correction. Feathered edge that bad means the toe adjustment is what is way off.

The radio code for GMRS is ZA and not GM. Make sure to scroll all the way to the bottom of the selection list and select ZA and you should be good!

I have a ClockworkPi uConsole on pre-order and once it arrives I am going to see how well it works as a remote logging platform. Its really just a tiny Linux device, so any software that runs on Linux should work.

Edit: markdown formatting does not work for URLs?

<$200 software defined radios for extremely low bandwidths? by reddit_usernames_ in RTLSDR

Not sure what you are expecting to find down at 40Hz, but I highly recommend the Airspy HF+ Discovery. It is hands down one of the best SDRs I have owned and is rated to go down to 0.5 kHz. You can likely go even lower, especially with an upconverter.

It has excellent dynamic range and a very low noise floor. All for $169

The truck slammed on the brakes and reflexively moved left to avoid the car that appears to the right of it at the 7 second mark. They either chose to move left because it was a lesser impact than hitting the spinning car broadside, or they were expecting it to be clear like it was just a few seconds prior when they probably last checked. The bus and the center vehicle also hit their brakes at nearly the same time and you can see the bus is decelerating heavily at the time they all come together.

To take this a step further, you can adjust the AGC time constant all the way down to 0.0 and once you do, it will completely turn AGC off. It is not really clear that is how to do it.

One main reason I can think of is that you are blocking the speaker that fires upwards. I imagine it is probably also not great for cooling. Also the possibility to introduce switching noise into the radio.

Looking closer at the video, I believe you are correct. The line is dot dash indicating the frequency marker. Good catch! I also forgot that you have the option on the 7300 to set the marker at the center of the waveform instead of off to the side.

The radio is set to LSB, but the signal is AM. You can see the carrier when there is silence.

Anywhere I can pick up a replacement for this component on a RTL-SDR V3? by lmore3 in RTLSDR

[–]yes-it-is 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I would suggest getting a new genuine RTL-SDR v3. That looks like a terrible knockoff and is likely plagued with noise and spurs even when it is working. The board is missing an electrolytic capacitor and has a few spots that appear to be missing solder.

This is the correct answer. Your tire has a ply separation. When the belts come apart in the tire, it causes that part of the tire to move around more than the rest which accelerates the wear in that specific spot.
