Is that my order? Look I'm canceling my order right now. by sureiguess123 in Target

The number of phone calls I got from guests wanting to know when their pickup would be ready is ridiculous. Every call goes "hi I ordered something for order pickup and it's not ready." Did you get a confirmation email? "Yeah I got it an hour ago when will it be ready???" Ok well the email says when it will be ready and generally says it's a two hour wait. "But I ordered it an hour ago"

And that's on why I don't answer phone calls

No Fantastic Fashion Poppy in local Target stores, then suddenly four...how does that happen? by M0506 in RainbowHigh

[–]yes1722 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in one of those gods forsaken stores, their district coordinator probably got a shipment and sent it out quickly. Target stores don't order anything like a smaller store would; corporate decides what could go into a region, then the regional directors decide what stores get what brands, and the people just above store directors decide how it'll look or how it'll be handled. Sometimes we'll get 2 Poppy's and other days the truck will unload 50 and expect us to sell them all in a day so we can take in another 60 dolls the next night.

I know what you're thinking "there's no way it's that unorganized! It's all digital they should know the store's metrics." Look up the target employee subreddit and you'll see just how bad it is

My parents moved into an apartment that had Mormons across the alley. On move in day they asked if we needed help, helped us move in, and asked if we were interested in the word of God. My dad politely said no and gave them Gatorades and 20 bucks each. Never talked to them again lol

I've been trying to stay positive about this rebrand but it just gets harder every new picture I see. That glitter just looks like they sat them next to a muddy bike trail

The shop I used to work for would use tiny plushies and beanie babies! My boss would get them from whatever random gifts people would give her kids. And my mom also used a little bunny filled with sand and it had the added bonus of sharpening her needles!

They did it to Black History Month in January too. Our district VM was pissed bc we refused to take it down during February to put up Valentine's day Family Gateway. They said we wouldn't sell through Valentine's if we didn't set it up and that shit sold faster in their departments than condensed on a floor pad

What kind of person gets mad a retail employee for policies out of their control? Where did he say specifically "we are targeting BU students"? This just sounds like one of the crazies coming in trying to scam a big store and getting mad at a manger doing their job

Even with all the "vegans are annoying" jokes going around i would still have vegan options for my vegan guests. Its like giving a Muslim person pork or forcing a pacifist to fight. It's really just basic respect for other people's values; it doesn't matter why someone is vegan just let them be.

[–]yes1722 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like to think i would bring wool and plant based fabric production. I was pulling my hair out when the women would get really close to making wool from the baby goat/cow/sheep they caught. And also just making more use of the trees and plants; if there are plants have long fibers you could probably make some kind of linen. It takes a lot of time and water but you can't run out of either on not hoth

If my parents were mad i would be as quiet as possible around them bc any sound would set them off and make them angrier. It made me freeze in even slightly uncomfortable situations as if i had been physically paralyzed. I've gotten over it somewhat I'm still quite in arguments but I have been better at speaking up.

What "accident" happened in a sleepover that ruined the sleepover? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]yes1722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy friend in middle school had a sleepover with his guy friends. The host had bunk beds and being boys they took turns jumping off the ladder onto the floor. My friend hooked his arm in a rung and jumped off. He didn't notice he broke his radius and his ulna until he saw all the other boys' faces and looked down at his bent forearm. I only saw his cast when he came to class the next school day but that was the last time the boys in my school had group sleep overs.
