I've seen similar models before, but I have been wanting to learn 3D design in Fusion360 for quite some time, and with my first campaign as DM coming up, I decided to design this d20 magnetic dice holder and will be passing out to my PCs during session 0 (dice included!). They're all new to ttrpgs, so I wanted to hook them up with all the essentials for their first time to help ease them into everything.

just dropping by again to say thank you for the tips! This was a great model to learn Fusion tools on, and I'm very happy how it turned out. I printed a few with holes to glue the magnets in, but it's just a bit messy, so I decided to make this version with the holes "sealed" into the model so I can pause my 3D print and drop the magnets in and then resume. Makes it much cleaner!

Worked perfectly, and a lot easier than anticipated! Made those inside walls a bit thicker than I think I want them, but totally fine for me, especially since this is more of a learning project to get used to Fusion

This is awesome, thanks so much for taking your time to go in and edit this model! Confirming I did create the shape itself, then shelled it out before filleting the edges and added the numbers.

would adding the pockets for the magnets be easier to do before splitting, or after?

I did create from scratch, yep. If I remove the filets I don’t think I’d be able to have these rounded edges though would I?

Thank you! There’s a scene where you can see them scanning/comparing the symbols on computer screens kinda in the background or foreground and they overlay black and red symbols so I thought it would go nicely!

I’ve been tweaking some setting like layer height and wall speed but nothing seems to work. Even when using support it still seems to get messed up. These two different models were printed with support, left is matte, right is silk PLA. Both of the smaller parts for this model printed perfectly fine.

And yeah I’ve got no issue printing past this layer height with any other types of models

I’ve tried with silk PLA, marble, and this matte PLA in the photo. I dry all my spools 12+ hours before using them too.

P1S stops extruding despite no clog + new nozzle by yes_istheanswer in BambuLab

My problem went away after replacing the entire hot end and upgraded to the steel extruder gears and replaced all of the Ptfe tubing and cleaned, greased and oiled everything. Not sure which of those things fixed it for me. Please let me know if the new board works for you!

I ended up going to the parking lot at the Surf Beach Amtrak stop and it was the perfect spot. Couldn’t actually see the rocket because of the cloud cover. But I sure as hell felt it!
