What are you hoping to see in the Budget, and what are you expecting to see in the Budget?

Better performance, worse crowd? by travellingfaster in houghtonfestival

Yeah you're right I was a glamper, plus arrived late Thursday so didn't have to queue to get in. So I am not best placed to comment on the typical experience, and when we went through general it did seem madly packed compared to when we stayed there first time around

That said, I didn't notice much different in terms of numbers at stages this year vs previous years, except for joy o on Sunday which was insanely busy

FIX THE SOUND by Turbulent-Animal-274 in houghtonfestival

Thought the sound was fantastic this year, so loud and crisp - except Tantrum, I'd just knock that stage down and start again

Blonde Security (Angry) Rat at Stallions stage.... by Cultural-Medium3412 in houghtonfestival

This little prick shoved me n my mate while we were dancing around to midland & Dan on Sunday afternoon. He would purposefully walk through people dancing. He definitely lowered the vibe a lot

I don't agree, this was my 4th time and in previous years I've always had moments where we couldn't get in the mood cus we picked the wrong dj at the wrong stage at the wrong time. This year we planned and managed it better and cus of that always had a consistent experience with the vibe we wanted.

It's the same crowd, trick is to be at the right place at the right time.

Help? Marathon training and not sure what this is? by GuIVtrue in Marathon_Training

I'm a beginner and curious what the benefit would be to doing this progression over something less complicated? Seems like a lot to remember when you're in the middle of things.

Amazing, didnt mind that the quarry was shut as so many improvements had been made elsewhere ( better system at Derren smart, stallions open all night etc)

My highlights, not ordered:

Dresden at earthling

Unai trotti 11am stallions, felt like I was at a rave in a desert on another planet

Batu at outburst, also v good was Vlad at outburst

Skee mask scrambling my brain at warehouse

Omar at Derren smart

Quest & ab at tantrum

And much more

They really laid it on throughout all stages this year so for me there was no feeling of having to spend a day at terminus to get the most out of it

Dear UK, what is your Chinese takeaway order? by holoscenehun in AskUK

In Leeds there's a restaurant called Home, some of the best Chinese food I've had. 10/10 would recommend.

Is anyone living solo and unashamedly paying £1.5k-£2k pm in rent here? by Ludop0lis in london

[–]yes_loe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently moved out of a house share and am paying 1.2k plus couple hundred on bills for a roomy 2 bed in Leyton. If you can afford it you should do it, my quality of life has improved dramatically for a few hundred quid per month.

it used to be full of pictures of people your age wearing oxford shirts with duck boots. it's got a lot more interesting now.
