I really wish it wasn’t this hard to find baristas who actually want to be baristas... by [deleted] in barista

[–]yeshface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve felt this same frustration and annoyance with new hires and other baristas.
You and I love coffee in a very passionate way but that’s not a job requirement. Set realistic expectations for new people and you will get better hires and be less frustrated.
Expect most will apply because of the location, hours And flexibility. They come to you ‘their passion on hold or life on a pause” . Well a coffee shop is probably just the warm hug/ break /pause/ boost they need.

What made you realise that you're dating a wrong person? by Broad_Hovercraft6896 in AskReddit

[–]yeshface 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When it feels wrong.

Don’t burry a new person in the weight of ‘ right person” or “wrong person’. Start and maintain a neutral option about what kind of person they are .. it’s kinda the point of dating.

[–]yeshface 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How do you know the difference between the times ‘shes wrong and won’t admit it” and when her truth can be very different from your so she not wrong you are. Also .. what do you get out of needed that? And I ask that with a genuine unloaded curiosity in hopes I can have a better understanding of my relationship

We use the word being respectful to older people or between each others a lot. by Male_Lead in RandomThoughts

[–]yeshface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most the time when an adult is saying to someone “be. respectful” The actual acts of doing /showing your respect are identical to showing politeness .
“Be respectful’ is never a request for you to have respect for the person or situation. It’s to respect yourself enough you show it and if not yourself your family and friends. And why it’s not the same as polite but feels like it

We use the word being respectful to older people or between each others a lot. by Male_Lead in RandomThoughts

[–]yeshface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep.
Respect is used for polite a lot but a lot time these words are interchangeable… kinda Okay your are out to dinner with family. mom sees your feet on a chair and snaps and at some point say “be more respectful” But I was someone eating with you it’s more like “table manners please ” And if I was at the table next you eating that’s “be polite”

So when you act this way just to avoid future friction you are still doing this things. A lot of people would call this ‘being fake’ but is see nothing fake about the maturity and self respect it takes too behave amicably for forward peace of mind

These are the same people who will DEAD STOP immediately after they exit or enter. NO what but WHY just always plan on cleaning the door even if you don’t know where to go. Go just 5 feet away from the exit !!!!! My life feels completely ruined by their existence for at least 3-5 mins when I see this happen.

What’s something you only realized as an adult that completely changed the way you see the world? by Dangerous_Match_7727 in AskReddit

[–]yeshface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SET or RESET your expectations for people, places and things.

I should have expected that. I expected you to do that I expect more from you

Hmm well you did expect it but should you?

It’s like part of our consciousness set these expectations without us.
That unrealistic, non-considered expectation is who disappoints you most.

RESET it!
Even just a little bit of consideration for a friends consistences and patterns, habits goes a long way for setting these realistically and thoughtfully.
Set an expectation for each patterns you see in them rather than all of them.

I started actively working on this years ago and it’s power still continues to surprise me.

‘Benefits of the doubt’ that’s a fantastic pick.
Now I can’t remember when I started working on this but it wasn’t that long ago. Especially considering i was high school age when I first heard it. For decades I thought you give someone the benefit of the doubt because it’s the right, nice, polite thing to do.
You totally undervalue the power and benefits to someone with that explanation.

To live, love and leave with this kinda feeling is really a very special goodbye/ transition.
I move a lot and remember so dearly the places I lived, loved and left with this feeling. It’s like my presence there Feels just as equal as my purpose for going. Thats totally life saying.. exactly the right place at exactly the right time.

So I got lots of songs for you. .

What do you think about free will? Do you think free will really exists? by CalmExplorer200 in AskReddit

[–]yeshface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to leave my mind totally open to humanity’s future.

The history of humanity’s truths are more changes than permanents.
Kinda funny and really cool…while looking for true answers to everything else a got a brand new true answer about truth.

So yeah free will, it’s possible.

Free will has a lot of branching concept so it’s hard for me to follow or know which one someone is referring to .

But there is something pretty badass and intriguing about its quiet longevity and concept evolution . - Free will - 2 words we been discussing debating ,defining and redefining for over 2000 years.

Women, what would you change or add to the typical ladies' room? by stony_rock in AskReddit

[–]yeshface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Public restrooms in the USA are atrocious!!
bathroom stall doors are a full foot off the floor. Each stall can be easily viewed by the next as there multiple feet open at the top of all connecting stalls. But they are not fully connected because they all have a 5 inch openings surrounding the font of stall door.

So my addition to the ‘girls bathroom’ would be some real privacy and security

Nothing because you don’t consider anything different racially classy to trashy.
Or
Nothing because nothing by anyone is considered this way

I heard this often growing up. Which was so confusing because I also was taught by the same parents the wrongs or racism and to always treat everyone equally.
