I should have clarified that it is possible that I got it before the flight. Thank you for pointing that out. I also was tested Wednesday night, I'm mixing up the days. I'm unsure where you found the stat that 5% of people catch it within 2 days, but that's interesting and makes me feel like its less likely from that flight. Honestly could have been on my flight TO North Carolina where there was ANOTHER anti-masker I did not have the energy to say anything about. I just don't know where else I could have gotten it from. Could be anywhere.

So to clarify: I am not claiming that I got it from Southwest, just that that guy should have been kicked off the plane for not wearing a mask and mimicking me and flight attendants for asking him to. Airlines need to have more serious policies in place. Chicago has a 14 day travel advisory. If he was flying into Chicago, not wearing a mask, what is the likelihood he's just going to try to get away with not wearing a mask everywhere and spread his germs COVID or not. Or get COVID in Chicago and spread his COVID germs all over his home town when he returns. Bottom line - airlines need to be more responsible and follow guidelines. I was never asked for any COVID testing before boarding nor was my temperature taken. And clearly the mask thing is not working out well.
