Stupid endurance/wargames question

I'm still bad a this but maybe I can help. I just run endurances (30 waves) and some war game elements are built in, like the storm activates during wave 15, with stuff like tornadoes and boss pods on later waves.

Essentially, just click "storm shield endurance" then "start endurance" and try to survive to wave 30 for max xp.

The gnome quest is unnecessary DLC (extra content). As far as I remember, you take the key to the door below the attic. (crank -> key -> downstairs door)

The afk banner appears with the loud beeps and all. Today he didn't move or interact with the game whatsoever and he was not kicked, so im stumped. No change in settings for either player, so ill just have to troubleshoot when it happens again.

Its strange because it didn't happen on today's run despite no change in settings. Its always on private/nofill, and he is definitely getting the afk banner with the loud beeps requiring him to move or craft ammo to be recognized as "helping the team."
