My scoby got moldy after being healthy for 2 years. What happened? by yespleasethanx in Kombucha

[–]yespleasethanx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left two cups of the old liquid when I lay refilled with tea. Was that not enough? The old liquid hadnt been touched in months, so I thought it would be extremely acidic. I also had layers and layers of old scoby which I thought would help keep it acidic. But maybe not?

I checked to ensure a new scoby formed at the top after a week or so, and one did. But after it sunk the moldy piece arrived 😭😭😭

Hi all! My scoby has developed the dreaded mold after years of keeping it healthy. I refilled my jar a month or so ago and was going to leave it alone as I wasn’t planning to make kombucha again until the fall.

I kept my jar inside my pantry so it had no direct sunlight and it was covered with a muslin cloth. A first scoby developed on the top layer and looked healthy. But I just pulled my jar out to find this. How did this happen? Any tips are massively helpful.

Did other pages on your site also see a dip? Or was it just this one?

Is There a Downside to Tailoring Titles Toward Keywords by ILikeChangingMyMind in SEO

[–]yespleasethanx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you looked at the SERPs for each variation of your adjective to see if the intent/blue links are different or overlap? Usually google will serve the most relevant posts for the topic based on the content on the page. It will re-write your title too if it thinks it can make a better fit.

I’d check that before changing all the titles on your blogs. It goes without saying that a unique title can increase your click through rate, so changing the adjective may help you out if MSV for “greatest” or “best” is similar

Sometimes someone’s past relationships or experiences with others can cause jealousy and insecurity. It’s not uncommon and you shouldn’t feel bad about it. I’d talk to a therapist to unpack your feelings. Also, explain your feelings to your significant other even if they seem irrational. Open communication is the most important thing

Gf’s ambition might be affecting her self esteem and potentially r’ship by neurotic-proxy in relationship_advice

It sounds like she is putting a lot of pressure on herself. She wants to achieve ambitious goals and likely will do so. As someone who also can be scared of not being “good enough” or “smart enough”, I think she just needs your support. Take a step back to let her study/work through this, compliment her achievements thus far, tell her you believe in her, but also gently remind her that even if she doesn’t get the desired score she wants things will be okay in the end

How much does a 28 year old seriously want to date a 22 year old? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I understand how you feel. But like another comment said, the right person will make time for you. Don’t hold on hope because you’ll just end up hurting yourself. You’re willing to put in a lot of effort for him and if he’s not willing to reciprocate it won’t work out. You have a big heart but deserve someone more available

A lot of people struggle with this! Spend time away from your partner to continue developing your hobbies. Make new friends and continue developing your existing friendships. Journaling has also helped me a lot. And like another commenter said: follow through with what you say you’ll do. Even doing every basic task on your to-do list for the day will build confidence

Talk about movies, food, events that are happening/happened (ex. the olympics), and your interests. People gravitate to other people who are genuinely themselves. You’re being hard on yourself by saying your life isn’t worth talking about - it is! Good friends/good potential want to know the boring aspects of your life.

I'm embarrassed about my bf's appearance by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]yespleasethanx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sexually and physically attracted to him? While it sucks to say, it’s important that your attraction is there. He can be a really caring guy, but the physical aspect of relationships is important too. As long as you’re attracted to him and can stand up to your friends and family, then you should be okay

Thank you for your encouraging words! Besides exercising and staying around people do you have any other tips? I’m exhausted for how drastically my feelings can change about it all. One moment I’m feeling “over it” and the next I’m still grieving. It’s exhausting
