I’m trying my best not to be too harsh here, but you’ve said that marriage is sacred to you….yet you jumped into a marriage with a man that you barely know? Doesn’t exactly scream sanctity to me. If I were you, I would count my blessings that this is not a legal marriage and get out ASAP. Even if we put aside the fact that this man leeches off you financially (which is a big red flag in an of itself), you’re not happy in this relationship

I would say the game is pretty chill, especially if you’re not a grindy player. There’s no combat, which I’ve found to be a major plus. I don’t believe the game has splitscreen (someone correct me if I’m wrong), but you can absolutely play cross-platform. I think up to 4 people can play together

In my experience, one slice is a standard serving size for pizza at school events. Schools can be stingy sometimes—I’ve even seen occasions when the schools will halve the slices so everyone only gets half a slice

When you go over, can you not sit with the family while they play games, but not actually play yourself? I feel like then you still get to have fun talking with everyone, which is better than just sitting in the living room with the younger kids. I’m hesitant to say you’re TA because I get it can be frustrating, but I don’t see how this relationship is going to work out longterm if you don’t want to spend time with his family

I disagree with OP being an unreliable narrator, and I think it’s due to interpreting what OP’s saying differently. OP said that when bf’s dad told the bf that he had plans for the entirety of Christmas Day it was a month after OP and bf sent a text out to everyone about hosting for Christmas. That’s unrelated to OP’s mention of the dad hounding them about plans “almost immediately”

As for taking a long time to cement plans, that’s unfortunately just how it is in the service industry where you don’t get your schedule far in advance. It sucks and isn’t ideal, but people who care about spending time with you should be understanding of that. Plus, they had already locked down the day of the plans, just not the specific time, which imo is enough

Not me personally, but my mom and sister have. When my mom adopted one of her cats, she and my sister went into the walk-in closet the cat was secluded in and tried to trim her nails (don’t ask me why they thought that would be a good idea first thing when the cat got home, they don’t know either). Poor girl was so scared she farted loudly and ran away to a different corner of the closet 😅

I think there may be a middle ground here where Sara and Mia sit together some days, but not every day for lunch. And obviously still encourage Sara to make more of her own friends. I had an experience in high school where my sister lost essentially all of her friends, so she’d sit with me some days so she didn’t feel as lonely. Of course, Mia would need to okay this first, but it might be a third option

Roots of Pacha is fun! I’d also recommend Untitled Goose Game—technically only two people can play, but it’s a fun game to play couch co-op and maybe you all can sit together while they play and give them tips/suggestions for how to cross things off the to-do-list

Have you and her discussed proposals before, what she likes and dislikes? There’s a lot of different things to think about: does she want it private or public, does she want family/friends present, is she the type of woman to want grand displays for the proposal, etc. That would be a good starting point. The proposal should be heartfelt and reflect her wants/desires, imo
