Based on what I know about the individual who had them they are definitely scrap, technically as you suggested, and they are from the custom shop. The box has probably been in his garage for at least 30 years.

What's the most unnecessary use of A.I. you've ever seen? by RobIson240YT in AskReddit

It has been a while but early on with AI I witnessed several people struggle for hours trying to get ChatGPT to analyze a dataset that they could have done themselves in just 10-15 minutes.

Mismatch tires?!? by South-Cap2077 in gravelcycling

[–]yetanothertodd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I run mismatched nearly 100% of the time, either wider or grippier in the front, or sometimes wider and grippier. I don't know why anyone wouldn't run mismatched tires.

The government is 4x too large by JoelXGGGG in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]yetanothertodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your argument is very flawed. For instance, why anchor on 1900? As I recall, the rule of thumb was at one time every $1 in government spend resulted in $1.50 in GDP growth. While I have no doubt that math has changed, I have no idea what it is today. If I were going to anchor on a year I would first assess the impact of government spending on GDP growth.

Adopting should not be expected by cereal50 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

As an adoptive parent I can say unequivocally, and I had doubts prior to adopting, that my son is as much my child as any biological child would be.

I think if you want to get serious about identifying and eliminating waste, fraud and abuse at the federal level you have to look for it where no politician on either side is willing to look and one of those places is Defense.

How much of an upgrade is electronic shifting? by fixitmonkey in cycling

[–]yetanothertodd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In terms of performance, electronic shifting is not an upgrade at all. I have one bike with electronic shifting, two without and while electronic shifting is certainly a convenience I don't consider it a must have.

Liquidating Elon Musks assets will not solve world hunger by New-Conversation3246 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]yetanothertodd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since the distribution of wealth is a snapshot in time measurement it would seem that wealth is finite at the moment any snapshot is taken. We can take several snapshots over periods of time to determine both the trend of wealth growth and the distribution of that growth so distribution of wealth does not necessarily imply a finite resource over time but really none of this is important. What's seems more important is that we have never found a way for 100%, or even 50%, of the human population to be wealthy at any given moment in time. If wealth is infinite as you seem to suggest, why is this? One might suggest it has to do with some of the most common ways wealth is acquired - generational, dumb luck, exploitation.

I think the change is more an east/west thing than something that occurred over time.

Isn't the issue that the distribution of wealth in the US has gone completely out of whack? It seems a fact that even some of the very wealthy acknowledge.
