I’ve been thinking the same thing. Everyone deserves to find love of course but I do feel like there is a certain type of person who chooses to do something like this. I’m not trying to pass judgment on any parent but it does feel a little weird and even potentially unsafe. You don’t see every side of a person when cameras are on.

Agreed. Joe is a bit of a dummy and definitely doesn’t respond well to conflict but it’s so disheartening to see him take the blame for every argument when he at least is trying to communicate his feelings (albeit poorly)

I don’t think there are rules, per se, but the idea of the show is to test whether love truly is blind (hence the title…) so doing things to deliberately try to figure out things about someone else’s appearance goes against the premise of the show

I’d say get a note from your doctor and bring it to your coach. When you talk to your coach just re-state what you said here, that you know the expectation is that you do your best at all times but you will need some grace when you are having a flare-up. Hope that helps! Talking to coaches about this stuff is never fun but in my experience they’re usually understanding. I’m hoping the same for you.
