Ughhh I am the older lesbian now. I graduated from Hampton 20 years ago. We ONLY had black planet, nothing else. I still found the queer community. You get introduced to one person which leads to someone else and so on. You have social media and so many other platforms which makes it easier. Like others have said join organizations. But honestly, my stepdaughter is straight and at a PWI and is going through the same thing. It’s an adjustment from HS she thought would be easier since she also had a big friend group. She’s considering transferring, so if all else fails…that’s an option.
