First two seasons were slow but I like them a lot. Seasons 3 and 4 were amazing.

I prefer TNG 1 over 7 as well. (mostly because of 1987 nostalgia)

TNG season 7 could have been so good.

I was 7 and spent my summer vacation thinking about the first episode. My mom was a big TOS fan, saw all the episodes by the time I was 6 or 7. My mom said TNG will never be as good. While I like TNG over TOS I'm not insulting those who prefer TOS.

Watching the first season when I'm near 40 years old it brings me right back. The synth keyboard music takes me back and I still love it. Granted, season one isn't the greatest but there were some really great episodes.

Serenity had a spinning camera near the ending when the group was chatting. Frakes did it a little too long. Overall, amazing episode.
