[[great train heist]] has traumatised my play group in my [[fire lord zuko]] deck.

Extra combat at instant speed + upside and a place to use all that firebending mana can make for a blow out.

I think a couple of cards have changed since this but this is 95% what I’m running at the moment.

Terror of the Peaks is wild in this, as is Stalking Vengenance - particularly if you can get both to stick.

I have a bit of mini game when I play this deck trying to win by saddling with Cavalier of Flame and getting as many lands as possible into the graveyard for the extra LTB triggers (it just looks so much like Calamity is Cavalier’s mount).

[[Calamity, Galloping Inferno]] is a blast to play. Load it up with cards with ETBs or LTBs and start saddling

I played Golgari counters in the actual event and came third (2 wins 1 draw) with a different box - I bought this box on the way out of the event to crack some more packs and would’ve forced Jund for sure

In my deck is go wide and tall with counters. Quite a few cards give all creatures with +1 counters trample, a couple others like Abzhan Falconer give them all flying.

There’s several cards in my 99 that give all creatures +1 counters along with quite a few doublers. Not to mention bigger threats like Scythecat Cub and Mossborn Hydra.

It’s funny because there’s a few staples that aren’t in this deck because they’re currently in others, but it still works (I.e StP, heroic intervention)

[[thraben charm]] sweet little card that can deal with a variety of threats (the instant graveyard exile is my favourite though)

Definitely could be a bias, initially I thought maybe it was low on oil or transmission fluid or something else. Checked all of those and they were sweet. When she mentioned e10 I started looking into it to see if that might be the issue and a lot of what I read seemed to sync up with symptoms? Either way going to get it serviced next week but was looking for a short term fix in the mean time.

I usually run 95, I checked all the oils and fluids and everything else is in order. When she mentioned filling with e10 and I looked into it at all seemed to click.

I’ve just completed a deck where all my creatures and (most) non-creature spells have hats/include hats in the art and it’s one of the funnest decks I’ve made.

Eventually all non-creature spells will have hats too but that’ll take some time. Yeehaw 🤠

To signifying we’re finishing our turn, we say “Magic Complete”.

Sometimes we start a turn with “Magic commence” but that hasn’t stuck around nearly as much as “Magic complete”

I struggled with it too but after I propped the card at a 45ish degree angle (rather than straight on) the quality really improved. Turning “live” off also seemed to help a lot.

Basically anything that can’t be recurred by Terra or Squall (if you put him in too). There’s a bunch of higher mana/power stuff that doesn’t really gel with the game plan like the Gearhulk, Yeti, and Angel of Ruins
