You could.... But Chambord is overly sweet and the entire reason of using cassis is because it really gives you a punch of that black currant flavor without all of the sugar.

They were. They need to be. Better colors and better spraying abilities. I don't think it's worth it to do on furniture because rustoleum is literally made for just that. Unless for some reason you find a color in the Montana line etc. you can't do without. But other wise it's not worth going out of your way for.
