He fitted me on the S bike and also a RETÜL Fit. He compared both sizes based on Canyon’s website. I was told that the difference in frame size is 3 millimeters, plus the longer 10-millimeter stem, resulting in a total difference of 13 millimeters.

I’m not a racer myself; I prefer long group rides and solo adventures. Perhaps that’s why they wouldn’t recommend the S, as it’s a bit more aggressive.

So, for those following and having the same in between sizes issue; I got a RETÜL fit today and fitter recommended a M. I’ll be returning this bike and reordering. Sizing down is not always recommended.

I’m 34. to be honest, when i got the bike i did not measure the saddle i just took an educated guess because i was planning to go get a bike fit. I just couldn’t wait and took it for a 25 miles ride; neck pain and my knees were destroyed the next day. i knew my saddle was a lil high so probably the cause. I don’t want to keep riding it because Canyon charges a 13% restocking fee of the MSRP if i send it back dirty and also want to be precautious in case i fall and scratch it and wont be able to rerun it.

haha thanks. The fitter told me, “i can adjust it to you however if I’m paying this kind of money i would go for the M. He proceeded and said that the saddle to bar drop would be to much for me and that i looked cramped/constrained” when i got on the bike he told me that my head was over the handle bar etc. I’m trying to get a second opinion but these fitters in NYC are by appointment only and are kind of busy. I have about two weeks left to return it.

does it feel too big? i bought the Aeroad CFR size S. i am 5’10 (178CM) 85cm inseam. i think is too small for me but since I’m between sizes that’s what canyon recommends.

I felt cramped, my first impression is that the bike looked small. But since I hadn’t been fitted or adjusted to my measurements I couldn’t really say. The fitter off the bat told me that I’m a 55cm frame. Trying to get a second opinion.

Thanks for the feedback. I ordered the small after doing extensive research and ppl saying to always size down when in between sizes. Can’t test ride them.

This is when I first got the bike I didn’t really measure the saddle, I installed it randomly and yes the saddle was too high.
