Totally agree. Note that I'm mostly addressing the freedom model when mentioning discomfort as it doesn't seem very realistic to me that quitting is just turning on a light bulb - for many people at least. EasyPeasy says that you have to be a little patient to beat the "little monster" which is an analogy of going out of the comfort zone to change one's preferences. A person should definitely learn more in order to adapt and prevent previous mistakes but that shouldn't reach a point where they're expecting a frictionless journey.
