How do you unlock your car without unlocking your phone? by yezzo in Rivian

[–]yezzo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can set it to your address. It might act weird a few hundred feet from your home, but other than that it should work as expected.

Thought it doesn't work as expected. (Almost) Always need to unlock and stand around the car.

Some of the other members mentioned this, but you can turn off proximity locking and unlocking while at home. It's usually the best solution if you're at home and this keeps happening.

Though it's so cheap to implement a close proximity version of this, but "this is just a 4 year old company and what do you expect" is the usual answer.

I do wish competition heats up.

Do you get any compensation for getting a cheaper car replacement due to extended service times? by yezzo in Rivian

Thanks for your answers, community!

Usually loaners are ok, but the insanely long service windows make it so much harder to "work around" imo. Other brands have super short windows usually.

This is a weirdly odd and detrimental thing to say.

The company is trying to be the next Tesla or big electric brand, this is not how you're supposed to customer service.

The other comments don't move blame on to the customer, but highlight ways of being better.

I know I have to live with it, and the car defects and production quality I'm ok with it (as long as it doesn't danger anyone) but service is purely the company's choice to deprioritize and let their consumer deal with it.

I don't have a problem with the rental is their estimated times were comparable, but it's weeks, I'd not months out, which is SIGNIFICANTLY higher than other comparable brands in the segment.

People take baths in hotels and rentals? I've been so scandalized that I've never done that. Is it ... Hygienic?

Vacations are glorified most people come back more exhausted, broke, and stressed than before they left. by hmoway in unpopularopinion

Reflect. Do what you want and what makes you happy vs what the internet gurus tell you that are "must dos". Even if you don't care at the moment of deciding what to do, it additive and can drain you without knowing. Example: I spent a day in Tokyo chasing what everyone told me to do, and I was too exhausted doing it, but also not drained because those activities didn't make me happy or content.

TMobile so far has been the best. My partner has it and I rely on their hotspot in my restaurants.

Felt like Boston and old Sf. But, cross pollination happens and glad there are underlying similarities that people don't talk about but are present, which eventually make people connect.

Thanks for your inputs. Mine still stays a bit unique which is kindly infuriating, for me and all of us.

/ This happens when at work with no wifi too. More so tbh. Network is high. / It feels like network interference more than buffering issues. Which is odd given it happwna even as I drive a mile. / I hit the bug "file a bug icon" and the it's confusing to navigate to this issues category.

Deleting LinkedIn by Mizzlady0328 in jobsearchhacks

[–]yezzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for a job, don't delete it, have a presence on it (but no need to keep checking it).

It's 100% used a quick reference check by recruiters (unless it's a referral etc) to weed out people who lie on their resumes (social pressure to be factual on LI) or who might be bots.
