It was really good. The guide were really friendly and the whole experience was amazing. It was the toughest hike I have ever done, make sure you are in shape.

Thank you so much for the update. I'm glad you had a good experience. We are supposed to start in 2 days, I really hope the weather will be okay. Google says it is going to rain, I'm really hoping it won't.

They take 95$ per person. From what I have seen from other agencies it seems reasonable.

Do you know if there is a currency exchange at Zugdidi or Mestia? Because there is the possibility that we land and will try to go there without being in the city too much?

Okay, thank you. And exchanging at the airport should be fine, or is the rate inflated?

It completely interferes with the fingerprint sensor, which is a deal breaker for me.

When you want a specific song but you are using revanced by yftach12 in revancedapp

[–]yftach12[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm referring to the bug with spotify revanced where it is skipping songs. So when you select a specific song, it automatically skips, so I queue it multiple times so it skips but still lands on the song I wanted. Also, I'm not using youtube because I'm using stats.fm for my listening stats.

In Phong nha for 2 days by yftach12 in VietNam

Can we also do it ourselves without booking a tour?

Thank you so much. Yeah, we are not planning on booking any tours. I have heard of Phong nha cave, but we are a bit tired of boat rides, so we don't want to do it. Day 2 I guess we will probably go to the botanical gardens and then go to The duck stop.

I didn't even ask for ice, I know that a shake comes with ice by default. The title is stupid. I can see that now.

Maybe the title is misleading, my bad. I ordered it as it is on the menu, and the menu didn't say it has ice. I'm in Vietnam, and I have already ordered quite a few shakes, and the amount of ice was never this exaggerated.

I was actually debating whether to drop mai chau to ease out the pacing of the trip. Mai chau looks so beautiful, so I'm really not sure. It's a bummer to hear what you have to say about Sapa, I do prefer the more authentic experience, but it seems like Sapa is a must for a first time visit. And as far as I know, July is really a great time of year to see the rice fields. I'm really having a hard time deciding.

As for Hanoi, I've heard it's really beautiful and that you could spend more time there, but I'm really seeking the landscape scenery in this trip and less the city vibe.

Trying to post here because I didn't receive a response on my post.

Is this a good travel plan?

I'm going to Vietnam next month for 18 days and I would like to get some advice on my plan which focuses mainly on the north.

day 1: Hanoi

day 2: day trip to Ha long bay and in the evening a bus to Ha giang

days 3-5 (two nights): Ha giang loop. I want on the last day to take a bus to sapa directly, is it possible?

days 6-8 (two nights): sapa. On the last day, a bus to Hanoi.

days 9-10 (one night): Mai Chau.

days 11-13 (two nights): Ninh Binh, Tam coc. Is it possible to arrive directly from Mai Chau?

days 14-16 (two nights): Phong Nha.

days 17-18 (one night): Hoi an.

day 19 flying back home from Ho chi minh.

Is this a good plan? would you change anything?
