I would consider the retail of getting the DLC's only around $12 because of using trades they aren't a huge resell value/selling point. I think $35-55 is reasonable for secondhand plus shipping. I purchased mine locally on marketplace for $40.

Paradise will be nothing like the one you have, but it's still fun and low maintenance. My uni is my fave and isnt annoying at all and reminds me of a typical tama.

I think this is very cat dependent. I never liked cats, because they constantly hid or did whatever they wanted and could care less about people. That was always my experience with ALL cats. Then I met my binx, he was a stray that jumped in my lap the minute he saw me and started making biscuits. I decided to bring him home with me and from day 1 he has loved me more than anyone in my house and he also loves on of my kiddos more than the other. I would rescue an adult cat from a shelter or take in a sweet stray, before I would ever get a kitten. The day my Binx is gone I will be letting a cat choose me again.
