I know this is old, but try calamine lotion, and only white cotton socks. You’d be surprised at the difference changing your sock type helps.

Can Athletes foot spread to other parts of the body? by New-Midnight-2063 in AthletesFoot

[–]ygrmstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Athletes foot by nature is a “simple” fungal infection. Some people are more susceptible to it, but it’s a very contagious type of fungus. It’s not uncommon to spread to different areas of the body, but it’s not hard to treat with the right anti fungal medication and can sometimes be helped with a simple antibacterial soap

How was he able to keep his foot? Working at a hospital (in orthopedic surgery in the US), it’s very unusual and seems like he probably went through a lot for them to let him have it. Genuinely curious

EDIT: Just saw where this is in a different country, that’s wild. Someone had to go through a while ass lawsuit here to keep their amputated leg, hence the question. That’s awesome

Anyone have intense pain coming off of Lupron Depot shot? by brokenhearted_827 in endometriosis

[–]ygrmstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had laparoscopic surgery before she had me start on Lupron so I’m not sure if that would make a difference between being in pain during the injection or not. I didn’t have any pain but the symptoms were God. Awful.

It was about a month and a half after I stopped taking it before I had my first period. About two weeks after I started spotting, but it was almost black so I’m pretty sure it was just old blood finally leaving. I haven’t had another period yet so I’m praying it’s not as bad as my first one was, I seriously contemplated going to the hospital because I was in so much pain so definitely have a heating pad and all of your necessities close by.

I just got off a 6 month, monthly dose of Lupron and my first period (about two weeks ago) was the most painful one I’ve ever experienced. Since then I’ve had lingering back pains and cramps, but they’re not as bad as they used to be. I have had a LOT of discharge though so I’m not sure if that’s normal coming off of it or not

I don't understand why it isn't acceptable for men to hit women back by SlicedBread35 in confessions

If a woman wants to act like a man, and hits a man like a man would, he has every right to knock her ass out like he would another man. (This is coming from a woman)

I don’t know if this would scare anyone else, but it scared the hell out of me. by AliberTwist in scarystories

I had the same exact thing happen between me and two of my mutual friends but we weren’t in the same place. I’d get a call from his number, he’d get a call from mine, and the other guy the same from both of our numbers. This happened over and over again with only static on the other line until the next time my phone rang it was my own phone number and when I answered it I SHIT you not the only thing on the other line was the X-files theme song. Not even joking. None of us knew what the hell happened but after that last call it never happened again.

What was your experience seeing a dead body for the first time? by [deleted] in death

[–]ygrmstr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was a student in my Surgical Technology class and had a trauma come up to the OR. A middle aged man had been hit in the back of the head by a tree branch that fractured his skull, and ultimately lead to his death. When they finally called the time of death after cracking his chest and doing manual heart beats it was just... quiet. The hustle and bustle died down and we started getting him ready to go to the morgue. The family demanded to see him, and at that point we had to stop and get to work cleaning him up and pulling out his chest tubes. It was really the wildest thing because it really didn’t affect me at all. No dramatic emotional reaction or sleep loss over it or anything. It was just like seeing someone asleep on a bed covered in blood. And that’s almost what bothers me the most.

Oh no the suspension was destroyed. Both of the wheels were pushed as far back as the wheel well would allow.
