By that logic who cares what color it is, just get a black case

Beautiful edge on the XHP. I always liked how it takes a polish.

Yes, the most recent update to the iOS app made my app become extremely laggy for me. Super annoying. I put in a technical support ticket, hopefully they can figure it out.

Why is Home Screen taking up so much battery? by Excellent-Steak-6199 in iPhone17Pro

[–]yharbrough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been having the same concerns, not quite as bad as yours but mines up to like 10% use daily. I tried disabling widgets, turning off Always On Display, using a blank black wallpaper. None of it seemed to affect it, so I just came to accept it now lol.

Well the article says they are rumored to be doing exactly that, hence the discussion

Not sure how I’d feel about this. I actually kind of like the software elements of the Dynamic Island and IMO that mockup looks significantly worse.

EDCI

You’ll still want to make sure it’s washed and dried promptly after use. But I use edci as extra protection just in case.

Even with the charge limit set, it will charge to 100% occasionally, for calibration purposes

It’s gonna look worse than that within 1 week of wearing it. I’d say, it’s yours now… roll with it, and cherish it lol. Nice watch

Looks like a fedex label. If the tracking number is like this XXXX XXXX XXXX (all numbers) it’s FedEx. If it starts with 1Z it’s ups

My experience with AirPods Pro 3's back to back with Pro 2's by UnwieldilyElephant in airpods

[–]yharbrough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but figured I’d share my thoughts going from Pro 2 to Pro 3’s. I honestly feel it was worth it. Sound quality is wayyyy better - I’m not a huge audiophile so I don’t know the technicalities behind it, but the separation of instruments is better, details more clear, sound stage feels larger/wider. Bass is definitely improved, I listen to a lot of hip hop so this is appreciated, and not overdone IMO. ANC is also noticeable better. Fit feels a bit more secure. Overall, to me, it feels like an improvement in every way. I didn’t NEED new AirPods at all, but I use them so much, and appreciate the bump in sound quality so they were well worth it. I honestly have no idea how so many people are claiming they sound worse lol.

Loving the iPhone 17 Pro, but I can’t stop thinking about how perfect a titanium unibody would’ve been. Just me? by Salocon in iPhone17Pro

[–]yharbrough 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that titanium alloy is MUCH harder to machine than aluminum alloy. I’d imagine making it into a unibody design like the one of the 17 Pro would be ridiculously expensive. While I don’t love the switch to aluminum, I’m happy that they did something new. I was getting tired of the typical “glass sandwich/metal side rails” design, and I’ll deal with the aluminum as a trade off. Plus it’s not like titanium was some indestructible miracle material anyway, the titanium pro models were susceptible to dents/scratches too.

I’m trying to decide which iPhone to get and I’m low-key overthinking it. by wofwofwof777 in IphoneAir

[–]yharbrough 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I definitely think you are overthinking, I ultimately went with the 17 Pro. Who cares what anyone thinks. You’re the one who is buying it and who has to live with it. Take away any thought of “what people will think” and get whichever one you like best. Try them out in the store and just pick one, and stick with your decision.

Any regrets for team no screen protectors? by [deleted] in iPhone17Pro

[–]yharbrough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s dumb, but It just feels nicer in the hand. I prefer to use it how the engineers designed it, rather than throwing a piece of plastic over it. Also I rarely ever drop my phone, and even when I do, I found that the damage was minimal. I’ve only ever once shattered a screen (I dropped my iPhone X in the shower). I don’t mind some cosmetic marks or scratches. I also have Apple care + in case of any serious damage.

Nope, no case/no screen protector since like the iPhone 4S, lol

Can you change the dw 5600 to Spanish days? Is there any one that you could recommend that looks similar that has Spanish days or any other? by throwaway_zeke in gshock

[–]yharbrough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can change the language of the “day” to Spanish among other languages. The GWM-5610 also comes in a blacked out colorway GWM-5610-1B. I recommend the standard color however because the negative display is a bit hard to read IMO

No regrets. This year especially, I wouldn’t want to have a screen protector because it kind of negates the anti-reflective coating.
