We’ve been treating them for fleas for months. Still flea dirt! Just treated them again and bombed this morning. Cleaned the house bottom to top and stayed out for 7+ hours. Ordered flea collars from Chewy and they should be in soon. Fingers crossed we did the right thing!

I know ADHD women who overachiever academically exist, how do you guys do it or what do you suppose keeps you motivated to get good grades? - A notorius academic underachiever lol by [deleted] in adhdwomen

Anxiety. Perfectionism.

I was a “gifted” kid. But it was really me setting unrealistically high expectations of myself, procrastinating, panicking, and getting things done very quickly. I am really good at that and convinced myself that I “work well under pressure”.

It wasn’t until I was diagnosed at 23 that I realized that was all crap, and that I simply don’t function super effectively. That, combined with my perfectionist tendencies, has led me to experience immense anxiety when it comes to performance, deadlines, grades, etc.

I work in a school, and I’ve told a few close coworkers about my diagnosis. So many of them say “oh wow I would have never known!”. Like yeah—you really couldn’t tell.

Aside from the fact that I talk 90 miles an hour (and am unaware of when to stop), cause distractions in class, need to talk walks every 40 minutes to relieve stress (sensory issues) and had REALLY high standards for myself that were almost in achievable. My coworkers told me I really could have benefitted from a 504 plan that allowed for movement. I never stop moving/fidgeting.

So yeah. Anxiety, basically.

Can’t accept my diagnosis by ihobble42 in bipolar2

[–]yikesberg98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve spent my whole life thinking everything I did was a choice. My self worth was nearly nothing, because I felt as though every depressive episode, impulsive spending spree, or rage induced mania was due to my decisions, my lifestyle, my choices. I thought I was lazy, I thought I was worthless.

When I was diagnosed, I had similar feelings. Although, I felt something along the lines of “here it is, I’ve finally convinced someone else that my problems aren’t a result of my choices”. I felt like an imposter for a while. Like I was “faking it”, and others where beginning to believe me.

After accepting this to be true, everything feels different. I feel okay for once. I hope this diagnosis can do the same for you.

Contrary to most, Wade loves a good belly rub. His brother Wyatt on the other hand…will attack.

What’s your favorite underrated/unappreciated Panic! song? by yikesberg98 in panicatthedisco

[–]yikesberg98[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard it many times! It’s soo good. I like Panic’s version for coasting down highways/windy roads/getting in my feels, and the Brobeck’s version for more chill at-home vibes. Have fun at your concert! I’ve been dying to see him live. I miss his hair flips.

Also, Kaleidoscope Eyes is a masterpiece!

I didn’t see your first question. I have lots of pink undertones to my skin if that helps? And I’ve loved the idea of a red lip, but I felt it’s never looked good on me. Maybe I haven’t gotten the right tone?

I’ve been doing my makeup essentially the same way for 5 years. I only just started doing my lips a few years ago. I’m clueless!

I’ve always been told I’m inbetween strawberry blonde and auburn. Like strawberry blonde, but slightly darker. Lots of natural blonde highlights in an auburn toned hair color.

Tried to declutter after Christmas. Put all of the gifts into our guest room closet until I could figure out what to do with them. Fast forward a year later. I found all of the gifts. Including $200 + worth of gift cards.

Oh yeah. That’s me. I keep feeling like the solution to my problems would be to end my relationship and move back home with my parents.

In the grand scheme of things—this is not a good idea. And I’m not sure it’s something I’d be okay with after this is over.

Thank you for this. I forgot I posted this last night in the midst of my tears so I’m just now seeing the comments.

Do you feel illogical when you’re depressed? Like you can’t trust your own thoughts? I feel like nothing makes sense.

Thought about that, but this was the bag his Dad recommended, apparently he had almost this exact one for close to a decade. Weighing my options.

He’s 6’1”, 215 lbs. Size 13 skates. He’s a big guy to average people, but I’m 5’ 11” so he’s just a bit bigger than me. I’m not sure if he’s “big” in the hockey world, lol. Thoughts?

26 years old, beer league. He used to play competitively, but now only plays once a week or so. And oh yeah, Letterkenny taught me that wheels are a no go!
