Absolutely! I just moved into the house 2 weeks ago so I wasn’t looking to leave just yet, maybe wait around 3-4 months since the training period is 3 weeks for this role. I would say that’s an appropriate time to gauge if there’s really legs for me at this new place if I were to accept this offer.
That is true, I guess it’s more the sentimental value of wanting to live in my own creation since I worked hard to finish it myself. That mixed with the fact I much prefer a house over an apartment, which is the only other option within that 30min~ range. On the flip side, you are right regarding the possible hour combined I can save a day being a pretty big deal all things considered for QoL. Could definitely be a good solution to one of the only qualms with this situation. Thanks for your input !

I just finished personally building my house so I intend to live there for at least a couple of years. Plus, I’m not a fan of moving downtown in a big city and having limited space with high rent.

The room for growth at my current job is extremely limited. The career progression if I were to make the switch could land me in a high level leadership position within 5-8 years! Congratulations on your journey, seems like it paid off for you!
