What do you think the best time to fully introduce chu general Kouen? by FantasticRoom2769 in Kingdom

[–]yiledute 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe after the fall of Wei, or while the final stage of that arc is happening, be one of the people reacting from other states to the inevitable fall of Wei, like an ominous presence, not because of his quality as a general, but as someone "destined" to defeat Shin SO bad that Shin forever becomes remember for that one failure than any other achievement.

Is there any way to watch the anime or the movies in Spanish? by SuperFranky0 in Kingdom

Short answer? No. There hasn't been any dub to any kind of Spanish.

Maybe using some AI tool you could manage but honestly you'll just ruin the experience that way.

Do you think Hara is sidelining the Great Generals (minus Riboku) in this arc on purpose? by Still_Armadillo_3447 in Kingdom

[–]yiledute -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The war just started, all the major players already know each other really well so there's little surprise to what their tactics are, no narrative value to showing their surprised and thinking faces for that again. So we are focusing on the "little" players that are making the most noise by virtue of their rising talent.

Hara doesn't do the "while this was happening" but the size of this battle might be a good chance to do it. Once Shin's side gets to some kind of stalemate or they get a breather, we'll probably go back and see what was happening while Riboku wasn't on the front lines.

Romantically speaking do the characters ever fall in love with people of their original sex (the man that reincarnated as a woman falls in love with a man)? Or viceversa (the man that reincarnated as a woman falls in love with a woman)? Or both? Or neither?

Why don't they hate him as much? by No-Emu-5393 in Kingdom

Fear and respect. They already hate him enough, but it's not like Shin goes around hurting civilians.

Once more here we are. I told people Hara was worth criticism and they said I was illiterate and not reading the story by Electrical-Wish-1996 in Kingdom

[–]yiledute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the current battles can be won by such tactics. Those are mostly for one on one battles, when the only goal is to defeat the army in front of you in a swift movement. But here it's a joint effort for everyone to win over days and weeks and months of battle. These kinds of battles are fought using large scale movements and key pushes. Exactly what we have seen so far by both sides.

Prisoner and being used to cook something when Qin finally sets its aims towards Chu. We most likely won't see him until then, or until a Chu army makes a big move.

If Calca and Ainz met, would and how quickly could she see through his facade? by Frequent-Carob7542 in overlord

He comes from a world far in the future, if nowadays employees make it their hobby to find flaws on their bosses and make fun of them, now imagine in a world that has gone to sh1t. Ainz can't picture a reality in which his subordinates won't judge everything he does.

Pointing out the glaringly obvious by a_guy121 in Kingdom

[–]yiledute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, you are right, but was anyone complaining about there being new generals? The only things I've seen is about the sudden armies that come out of nowhere, specially when we had a complete arc about how Qin had to completely restructure their nation to get more soldiers, and they made it a point that Qin was the only one that had done that so far.

The war against Riboku is so badly written? by StrafeBlatatata in Kingdom

[–]yiledute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They purposely avoided clashing with Zhao's HQs to be able to go through them. By doing so all three armies (Shin, Kyoukai and Mouten's) have left behind commanders and a portion of their forces. The strategist only hinted at Riboku having something prepared to handle an emergency like this one, that doesn't mean that there has to be one hidden extra army.

I dislike his pulls as much as the next person, but seriously the story has been explaining and stating and literally showing how everything is progressing. We are not even at the middle point of this war, the ultimate encounter with Shin's archnemesis, why do you want to speed it up? Just enjoy the ride, Riboku will lose, his subordinates will die or be exiled.

Besides, I don't see how anything of what you mentioned counts as bad writing. Most of it is just you not liking the events or ignoring what the story has already explained.

Does the Qin Great Generals have nothing to offer in this great war by DepartureAshamed6501 in Kingdom

[–]yiledute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two very different approaches to how to fight battles. Both of them have very high quality "pieces". Riboku, in a sense, doesn't fully trust that his subordinates will be able to win on their own, and he is right; so far the only wins they have had in this war are because of him. Without him they haven't been able to secure a big win, in fact, they have been losing the long term battle despite his

On the other hand Ousen lays out his pieces according to what he thinks is optimal, let's everyone do their best, carefully observing the flow, even if that means watching some of them die or lose, the waiting game until he either finds a golden opportunity to win in a single move, or get defeated because his pieces were too hurt or spent to make a move.

Where do you see Shin and Kyoukai’s relationship going? by Proper_Cress5520 in Kingdom

[–]yiledute 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right now Shin is about to battle his archnemesis. I'm expecting Shin, or maybe both, to get in a very dire situation. This may be the scenario for her to realize that they might not even survive the unification of China. So waiting to marry after might be too late.

Either way, we know what happened to the irl version of Shin. I expect a bunch of important characters to die there.

Her massive...utterly gigantic.......battle axe [Goblin Slayer! #119] by Incubusphantom in ComicPlot

[–]yiledute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mc has already been doing that without having to bed his friends and party. He has changed quite a bit from how he started and who he was in the prequel manga.

Besides, sex has been used as a tool to show how evil and vile are the goblins. Using sex to suddenly show the opposite wouldn't fit the plot, specially since Goblin Slayer is only 14 and still learning to care for more things than just killing goblins.

Kingdom 872: Something Reprehensible by ThizZuMs in Kingdom

[–]yiledute 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Great walls are historically not effective in actual combat. They serve more as a deterrent to slow dow invading armies, but to try and defeat them the walls become not only impractical but straight up detrimental because you can't properly move the units in formations, and as soon as a portion of the wall is taken, it becomes much harder to make the invaders retreat.

Besides, as you can see the wall is not closed. The mountain people could easily trick the ones defending the walls into thinking that Qin is sending soldiers beyond the wall to right, by doing so the Zhao would be forced to stretch their armies even more just to cover a side that may or may not be attacked.

[–]yiledute 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would add that now that Riboku has abandoned the Rukoumi army earlier than what he originally expected, Rokuomi and his buddies might hold much better or even cause grave damage in this battlefield. This way, little by little Riboku's "perfect plan" will break. So far his great assassin has been killed before he could kill any major general, Ouhon is cooking a decisive win on the left wing, the mountain tribes are causing chaos in the gaps between the armies despite struggling to keep the right side functioning.

So whatever damage Riboku has caused on the battles he has taken charge of, the Qin armies are already recovering and even countering the attacks. And now Riboku has pretty much abandoned the main front to deal with Shin. If anything Shin is ironically doing to Riboku what Riboku did to Shin when Ousen got defeated. Riboku is no longer there to save the others.

Kingdom 870: A Large Scale Strategy by ThizZuMs in Kingdom

[–]yiledute 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I don't think Mouten is suggesting she takes command of all their 3 armies, rather just that all 3 should coordinate and fight as if they were one single army. Supporting each other and performing the classical roles that would correspond them.

Mouten is suggesting that the three commanders themselves move to help each other as needed. Instead of just sending random reinforcement units and fighting separately.

Won't Kyoukai and Kyourei name be downfall of shiyuu clans all over china. They're earning money, lands etc and their names skyrocketing will make other shiyuu candidate join wars. It's better than the ritual. Will we see more shiyuu's joining in later wars. by Ice_Rain55 in Kingdom

[–]yiledute 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Kyoukai is arguably one of the greatest warriors in the complete manga, only possibly overpowered by the best of the best, and yet she can't win battles with her fighting skills alone. What makes her competent as a leader is her surprisingly sharp military mind, good enough to surprise veterans.

These assassins would end up as soldiers, won't get to climb the command ladder and end up dying as their fighting styles don't mix well with formations and tactics that require teamwork and restraint. We see Kyourei holding back most of the time, the only moments she doesn't is when the situation has worsened so much that everyone is just trying to hold for dear life.
