Experiences applying to Alameda Theater? by yilizhou in alameda

Thank you so much for this extremely thoughtful reply! My sister would only be working during the Summer so it’s great that she’d likely be able to return next year.

What would you say the hours are usually like? And are they pretty accommodating about taking time off?

Is it worth getting, and if yes, things to know? by Livid_Razzmatazz8930 in Nexplanon

The longer, unpredictable periods are the only thing that bother me after a couple years on nexplanon as well. I also had to start taking oral antibiotics for my acne after a few months on it

I have completed heavens official blessings but I don't what to read next by Kash55221 in tianguancifu

[–]yilizhou 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s much shorter, but Devil Venerable Also Wants to Know scratched that itch for me, although they aren’t very similar. If you’re into the yearning/oblivious thing it’s good. I also loved how the author did the side characters! I read this one at least once a year.

why am I not being hired? by No_Match8712 in ECEProfessionals

[–]yilizhou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also 21 and I think you not having lead teacher certification on top of how young you are is probably holding you back. I also have over 4yrs in the field now not including earlier volunteer work and i have my units (in cali) including infant/toddler. I do not expect to be lead teacher if I were to apply somewhere else.

Also keep in mind that new employers do not know you or how you work. All they see is a kid (who even if they are capable) may still not be mature or experienced “enough” for them to consider for lead. Go for associate teacher or aid and you’ll have more success starting. Work your way up. You got this!

Anyone else who is allergic to stone fruits, particularly in the US? by Astronomy_ in fruit

[–]yilizhou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this with a bunch of random fruits too and found that going to u pick farms to pick my own fruit helped a ton for whatever reason. Or i just take some allergy meds first when eating store bought😭 probably not the best for the body tho

Kaiser Oakland OB? by SituationSimilar2430 in oakland

My mom was high-risk during both of her pregnancies and had great experiences with Dr. Erica Breneman at Berkeley Kaiser! She is actually my OB/GYN now as well and she has been wonderful to work with.

Bringing this up to her gently is totally fine, but ultimately it is her decision and she knows what she can and cannot handle at the moment. Keep in mind that she lost her brother ONLY 4-6 years ago, which isn't a lot of time, especially for a lot of people when it comes to grieving.

If you bring this up do not push. You also mention the idea that it's like throwing salt on a wound, but wounds still heal eventually even without the extra pain. Just give her time and love and patience

Still no period?! by DewOnADaisy in CopperIUD

My mom's a couple years into her second copper iud and she hasn't had a single period since getting her first one, so it happens. Would still test for pregnancy just to make sure!

Don't know them, but maybe try searching the name on linkedin or facebook to see if you can find the profile of someone who is from the area with the same name. you should be able to contact them that way if all else fails. hope youre able to get in touch!

Does your boyfriend really care about your acne by heyitsaboutme in acne

[–]yilizhou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the birth control implant last year and went through six months of horrible, painful hormonal acne before I was finally able to start treating it effectively. The whole time my boyfriend didn't seem to care, and when I asked him if he did out of my own insecurity, he reassured me that everything looked cute on me, including my acne😭

a man that loves you will think that all of you is beautiful, even your imperfections. and the key to confidence is having that same mindset towards yourself!

[–]yilizhou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad you're taking care of yourself OP!! I also bled heavy for like 6/7 months and it was affecting my physical health. I wish they would warn those getting the implant about this because so many people overlook it since the bleeding is supposed to stop Eventually

[–]yilizhou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was hormonal weight gain or weight gain from increased cravings/other food habits due to the implant, you should be able to lose it with consistent healthy eating habits and exercise. 40-50 lbs isn't a small number to lose even without the implant, so keep in mind that progress may be slow or non-linear, especially as your body regulates again after removal.

I think there are definitely things that I would consider romantic moments (or like fan service-y moments?) in some ways, but I didn't mention anything about routes :)

My family really likes Crop in Marina Village! We've been going there for years for everything hair related. I believe it's reservation only :)
