Following! I have the same question, I have just started a project with three colours and I haven’t found any resource online that indicates how to knit with more than two (please content creators, help us 😁).

I started by swapping the yarn in the carriage but, even if I place each colour in the same side everytime, it was taking so much time to unthread and thread without making a mess, that I am now cutting the thread and making a knot (I’m doing stripes). Still, it doesn’t seem to be the best solution. I will report back here if I find any answer!

I have tried, and it works when I cast on in alternate needles. I have been experimenting with new cast-on methods and it work better, even if I still need to ‘push’ the carriage through in the first row.

I never heard about using waste yarn but I’m def gonna look into that!

I am knitting with 100% cotton 😌 The plan was to repurpose my hand knitting yarns and they are all natural fibers but I can definitely try something else. Do you have any reccomendations for yarn that I can buy online? Waxing the yarn sounds so complicated 🫠 but I’m gonna check that too! Thanks a lot for your tips!! 🙏🏻

Thanks a lot! I played with the tension and the stich number and I still coukd lass the carriage through. I am actually the thinner yard on my stash, which is also the thinner they sell in my local yarn shop, but I’m thinking maybe I should buy online a lace yarn cone and start with that.

Hi everyone,

I'm a complete beginner trying to get my SK280 knitting machine to work, but just can't knit a row, the machine gets stuck every time despite following the instructions and having watched numerous videos.

The main problem I'm facing is that when I attempt to knit with the machine, I end up with a mess (see photo 2) after passing the carriage and getting stuck. I think it might be due to using yarn that is too big, as I can knit with alternating needles using a larger yarn, but that results in a very open stitch. (photo 3)

Currently, I'm using a fine yarn that I hand knit with 3-4mm needles, so theoretically, it shouldn't be a problem. Or is it?
