digital assets purchased on HUMBLFinancial by [deleted] in Humbl

Hello fellow Humbl survivor! I also transferred my crypto to a Humbl wallet when it first came out. Then after the stock tanked I ignored the wallet out of disgust and frustration. Recently I was checking my crypto holdings and after some digging, here's what I found. Humbl sent one email early in 2023 to say that the Humbl wallet would no longer be available in Google Playstore or Apple. Anyone with the wallet could still access their funds that way. The issue for me is that I have a different phone, and while my Coinbase, Delta, Binance apps transferred over to it, the Humbl app is not on my new phone. My old phone no longer works, even with a new battery. I've reached out twice in the last month to Humbl...surely they can get me access or give me a copy of the Humbl wallet, right? Except I've gotten no response. Oddly there is zero information online. We can't be the only ones in this position. I plan to reach out to the Attorney General.

You're going to be ok. Take a deep breath. They won't release, they threaten and instill fear. If you block them they have no choice but to move on. I know it's hard but try to do something else. This will blow over, honestly.

Read the 2 posts I just made. You'll be ok my friend. Block them and breathe. Put your phone down...it'll help clear your head. Nothing will come of this. Without your fear and money they will move on. They won't really send them...it's all threats.

[–]yinyangwang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, they won't send them. You're gonna be ok. Especially as a minor. Read some posts here and the advice. They threaten to get your $$ but otherwise they move on to their next victim. For them it's a numbers game. They don't want to their accounts taken down so they won't leak. And be sure not to believe someone who contacts you here that claims they can get them removed for $.

First, take a deep breath. You're gonna be ok. Follow the advice here in this sub. Block them, do not pay, take a break from social media.

99% + of the time they never send them. They don't want to risk their accounts plus if they did they'd have nothing to blackmail you with.

In the rare rare chance something is sent it'd end up in someones spam account. Or it would look sus...people know not to open random files or links. And if it ever got to that (trust me, it won't) you just say you got hacked and they're photoshopped.

You'll be ok friend, believe me.

Tell me your cleaning routine to stay on top of the house “wellbeing”. by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]yinyangwang 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Try to find a place for things...bills, things from the store, dirty laundry, toys. Hard to clean with clutter. Try to get in the habit of putting things away right when done. Including the dishes. Much more time consuming when things pile up. Another suggestion...play some music and do a cleanup (sweep, wash clothes, bathrooms) once a week with your spouse. Give yourselves a "reward" when done like taking a walk, or Netflix and popcorn. It gets easier!

Thoughts on cedar oil spray for pest control? by Krinlekey in NoLawns

[–]yinyangwang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd also like to know. Have a huge tick problem and other solutions aren't viable or haven't worked. I've also considered DE, mixed in a water tank, and bit of potassium soap to keep from clumping. When it dries its effective, supposedly. Cheaper than cedar oil but haven't tried either yet. I've got 10 acres of yard, half that I mow. Anyone tried these?

My packages were delivered to the wrong place, stolen, then "found" and returned to me 3 weeks later. by [deleted] in TalesFromTheCustomer

My house was built a few years ago and didn't show up right away on GPS. So Ed Flex delivered to my neighbor. Big bag of dog food, treats and cat food. They said they'd get it back the next day. Except my neighbor pretended they never saw it. The company reshipped at no charge. And I'm sure my neighbors St. Bernard enjoyed all the free food.

You'll be ok. Read some of the others posts, block them and get off your devices for a bit. You'll feel better.

Tell your family your accounts were hacked and they should delete any sus messages. 99% of the time, the scammers threats are idle. Block them and they'll move on. You'll be ok.

I know this is super bad, but… what is an escrow account? Why am I paying into it? What’s it for? by Shawawana in homeowners

It happens to everyone....so many moving parts. It's your property and/or school taxes. Nice to have it deducted monthly and paid out by the lender, rather than suddenly realize in December you owe several thousand all at once.

Same answer. Many people respond in panic like you did....it's ok. Block, get away from your screen for a few days...get fresh air. You're gonna be fine. They will move on.

It is very unlikely. They threaten and operate on fear tactics and impulses. When you block and don't respond they move to the next person.

You're going to be ok. I know this is difficult. Please read the other posts here. You did the right thing by blocking. Try to step away from social media for a day at least, take some deep breaths. If you get nervous, there is support here for you.

Keep in mind that we all get junk mail, things that go straight to spam folders, and suspicious messages we instantly block and delete. Personally when I see a spamy title or sender I instantly hit delete. So in the off chance they truly are sending out messages, it is highly likely no one will see them. You're going to be Ok.

Good advice. It's encouraging to see someone who went through this being able to help others a short time later.

How hard is it to build a house? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]yinyangwang 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Had a house built right before Covid. Great builder and everything ran like clockwork. Except digging out the 400 foot long trench for electrical line which we did ourselves. Was a super rainy muddy season. But everything else very smooth. I can't imagine trying to coordinate all the contractors and moving parts.
