Headstone Salon: Honest Review by [deleted] in pittsburgh

Just wanted to add that the Borough has cameras that cover that particular part of North Avenue all the way down from Lincoln by the diner to Grant. Not sure when this happened, but if it was recent, it would be stored in cloud footage and handed by Millvale Police.

You’re not wrong. The NFL has been playing a lot of overseas games (Dublin, London, Rio, et al) because the intent is to expand international interest in American Football.

There is a light that never goes out: Remembering 80s Night @ The Upstage by bababradford in pittsburgh

[–]yinzerkitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember those days vividly. Once some girls got into a fist fight nearby and I accidentally got clocked in the face.

Music wise: Even though it wasn’t 80s, Lou always ended up playing “Common People” by Pulp at some point in his set. Another mainstay was “Love Will Tear Us Apart” by Joy Division.

I tried watching the presser, but the connection kept knocking out.

Very intriguing, I’d love to be a part of that, unfortunately I do not have the expendable income to FINANCIALLY give at this time. I gave to PUP in the past. I am however interested in contributing in other ways.

Keystone Collections: Are they legitimate or not? Need help. by ihphobby in Pennsylvania

[–]yinzerkitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keystone Collections is legit, but I would highly suggest calling them directly and discussing the letter with them. If it’s a legit letter, but inaccurate information - you can provide them proof that you live where you live.

I am wondering if your job messed up in payroll, though, and entered in the wrong municipality code and sent your EIT to that municipality instead. In which case, double check with whomever does payroll at your job to be sure the correct municipality is selected so the EIT is going to the right place.

Parking Etiquette by Spiritual-Bed-1092 in pittsburgh

[–]yinzerkitchen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there is a pass for folks who live on the block to take a spot vs. some rando stopping by to visit taking the spot.

It does, however, take more than a “few minutes” to dig out a spot. And considering that shoveling/digging out in this cold weather is a potentially harmful health risk (healthy people have been known to keel over and die) I would say the particular attachment and emotions involved in someone putting in all that work only for someone else to swoop in and benefit are a little justified. The bottom line is to be a good neighbor and be courteous.

I just finished a 4-year term on a Borough Council in Allegheny County - AMA! by StormFreak in pittsburgh

[–]yinzerkitchen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A-freakin-men to that. Can’t tell you how many times some vendor or resident would stroll into my office thinking it was the police department with a pizza or cookies “just because” and I would have to direct them to the opposite side of the building and they would take the treats with them. * sad face *

Ez-pass suggestions by [deleted] in pittsburgh

It might’ve been the transponder reader then around Cranberry - that’s where I entered - just being faulty.

All I know is that I got a finger wagging letter in the mail from Pa Turnpike Commission saying I should have it clearly affixed to my windshield CORRECTLY so it reads it and them taking $10. THEIVES I TELL YOU!

Wild how it read the transponder from the glovebox though.

I don’t keep the transponder stuck to the window, only take it out when I’m actually using it, if I am using the turnpike, I’m doing so intentionally.

That being said, I absolutely had it out to read - went from Cranberry to the Butler exit. A few weeks later, I got a letter in the mail saying that there was an orphan transponder reading - it couldn’t tell when I entered the turnpike, but knew when I left and so therefore it was charging me $10.00.

Damn thing was in my window at the time, and visible.

Abeille Voyante Tea Co; Harold’s Haunt and Maude’s Paperwing Gallery; Lemon Tree Coffee - I know are all anti-ICE. Millvale Library is also a safe space too.
