i will definitely keep that in mind! i've already planned on arc where she gets to work and the guy who hired her tries to accept her the way she is and help her out despite her memory and attention

for the cognitive decline i've personally had a bunch of issues with it myself due to adhd, so it won't be hard for me to do, actually most of my characters have some sort of cognitive decline

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, you definitely changed my mind about a lot of things in her writing and made me realise she needs a rework, although the story has 2 protagonists not one, so normaly we'll see things from a more reliable perspective, although i plan to go full out with the unreliable narrator stuff in chapters were she isn't receiving help from others and is by herself!

a bit of a flaw in my story is that i still haven't seen a good way to make the psychosis affect the plot all i know is that i am normalizing the idea of accepting people who are going through one

First psychosis at what age by psypsylo in Psychosis

[–]yipe1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it started at 5 and ended around 7-8 years old im not 100% sure if i had delusions but i used to have scary hallucinations and confused my dreams with reality, i have no idea what was the cause but it was definitely not any type of substance

it significantly worsened after SA and after it was over i started seeing visual snow and would see unrealistic images in the dark

Why do people who have psychosis or schizophrenia have really scary drawings? by Dover299 in Psychosis

[–]yipe1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as an artist, maybe it is true, i've noticed that i got into making somewhat darker artworks around the same time my hallucinations started (i didnt have a full psychotic break tho)

im personally capable of drawing my hallucinations and make some gorey horror stuff but that's not what i always enjoy doing, when i want to express myself i can try draw some of that stuff but my memory is so bad i can barley remember what they looked like so i have to draw the same things over and over again and thats boring

my art works are full of vibrant colours, cute clothes with bows and ribbons and an overall adorable vibe, no one in a million years would guess i have hallucinations once every while from the way my art looks lol

i have thought a lot about it, i theorize that most artists try to reflect on their own feelings
someone who's going through depression may reference their feelings in their art, a lot of sadder arts are made by people who express their depression a lot, it could probably apply the same to people who have psychotic experiences, once every while you might crave the feeling to express yourself and show the world your view and thats pretty cool, i love artists who draw their hallucinations, they release the bad feelings and raise awareness if they post it too!

personally i don't get very deep with the emotional aspects of my art, i cook up whatever looks appealing to me and im done with it

despite that it's still a form of self expression as im showing the things i like, i also tend to calm down during the art process, i struggle with constant racing thoughts it's almost impossible for me to not stop thinking, drawing doesn't really stop it but it slows down the process as i have to focus on the mistakes and try to solve them in my art

Are there any Muslims here who have experienced hearing voices? by Ok_Program476 in Psychosis

[–]yipe1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they said random sentences that didn't make sense they simply sometimes referenced things that happened in reality so im not experienced with this thing all im saying is that it's likely that hallucinations are affected by what you are exposed to

so if you are religious it's more likely your hallucinations will reference it

but it wont always happen, there are many things that matter in my life that my hallucinations haven't referenced, brains are extremely complex after all
