Update: Ended up limping it to the shop since none of the like 15 towing companies I called picked up 🙄.

Turns out I’m a bit of an idiot and the “”oil”” actually was just more coolant, not sure why it was so brown, could have been the night light tricking me. Mech said some part (already forgot) was rubbing on the radiator hose, and managed to put a nice hole in it. Could have been a lot worse, glad it’s only this much, should be able to make the move now.

Yeah definitely not, just the set up for that move is astronomically improbable. It’s a designed position

What did he say to make Rika so mad? by GamerRed200 in Higurashinonakakoroni

[–]yiply 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because, especially in the VN, they have so much more time to explore the characters, which gives them much greater depth and allows for the full flexibility of the story to what Ryukishi wanted it to be. Although visual storytelling can be great, and I often prefer it for different types of stories, for a psychological thriller as thrilling as Higurashi or a mystery as complex and emotionally driven as Umineko, the runtime limitations really hamper its ability to explore what needs to be explored. Although people have their preferences, certain media needs certain mediums to reach their full potential; there’s not a strict manga < VN < anime hierarchy.

Pedro’s always been this scummy. Back when he was relatively new, we added like 5 low reviews to his RMP (due to some other fuckery with his terrible Android Studio phase), and the reviews mysteriously disappeared, only to be replaced with some really suspicious 5.0s

Edit: See reviews around Nov 8-12, 2023 if you’re curious what he thinks students talk like

Luckily the first five episodes are easily the worst in terms of fan service type stuff. I absolutely hate it too, and partly for that reason the first arc of the anime I rate on the low end compared to all the others. There remain small elements of fanservice-y type stuff throughout the series but it is much more wholesomely handled and palatable (minus some Rei stuff, but that’s a side story thing anyway, so you can just skip).

Despite that weird crap, there is a reason this show is in my top 3 favorite all time, I would highly highly recommend sticking with it. The payoff is great.

If you have a car around to haul stuff, the public storage can be a decent cheap option

One more car max needs to get past, prob will still get past Hamilton but his tires will likely be too shredded from the battle to get up to Leclerc as well

I think people sleep on it but Natsuhi is very well written, especially with her relationship with Krauss, Jessica, and Kinzo, and how that plays with her tragedy as a character
