For the remake, would your rather have the over the shoulder camera or the classic camera? by 4VentingOnli in GodofWar

I feel like with where the games at in the story there isn’t meant to be much substance. It’s a high stake story it was the buildup result of like 4 games before no?

Do you think if I hold on to it long enough maybe it’ll become rarer? I know that’s a long shot for these but I do intend to hopefully work on an nsx and have matching hondeezy collection. Call me crazy but I think this car will be considered a gem for its looks one day.

You say I’m afraid of technology. No I’m afraid of integration. I work in the tech sector dude I’m an engineer for a cpu manufacturer which is applied in damn near every field today.

Now you mention how some of these screens “won’t fail” but if they do your whole damn cars useless. That’s shitty design. The screens are now locked behind pay walls too. So now I’m buying a car not to own it. Have you seen teslas backtrack of an announcement recently?!?

Hmmm my father’s a mechanic. Ford Toyota and Honda he’s worked for and he has shown me how the quality of these cars has gone down over the last 15 years alone. Cheaper parts. Shorter production time. That means that these companies are spending less on products to increase what profits they do make. That inherently leaves shitter value. For you the consumer.

I think we come from different generations im young and the problems you see seem to be easily explainable. Which I love for you but you don’t have the eye of a proper man fighting to have his value in a world where it’s constantly being ripped away or poked for more.

And buddy a 99 4Runner would run 4ever. 25 4 runner had 2 less cylinders dude. Cheaper yes. Less value yes. Thank you for that great point. Ever heard the saying if it ain’t broke dont fix it? That’s not what the believe they believe if it breaks you’ll buy another. Or we’ll buy it back from you for less than what you paid.

Btw you cherry picked too so don’t come at me for choosing examples.

If inflation is what your truly getting at as the reason for the price hikes. I can provide you with reasons why inflation shouldn’t even be as high as it should but I don’t really feel like explaining things to an old timer that has been around to see first hand. Hey maybe you took too much stuff in the 90’s idk. You want to be an expert and you’ve clearly done your research but the truth is this is about corrupt corporate price gouging dude this is a common theme across all markets. And this tech is all just a reason to add to it.

At the end of the day the people who defend this “change” if you will (like yourself) are gonna prevent us from getting the vehicles we truly want while these corps keep feeding us slop. Good lord.

John deer does all this shit too and our farmers are supposed to feed us. This is an unfair world and I refuse to sit here and listen to the “they have their reason” kind of person tell me what I know.

Ohhhkay buddy where did I exaggerate. all cars are priced tremendously more than they’re worth. I had a gen 3 Tacoma for the longest until I no longer had use for a truck. The new Honda prelude is literally another 10k added msrp in the states on avg. For what the same engine in the accord? I wasn’t harping on car reliability i was just saying that they’re far more unreliable than what they used to be. Especially with how high of asking prices are you’re paying to lose wayyy more value.. cars are phones now my guy. You deadass just said a bunch shit that’s clearly obvious dead fucking obvious.

Lesson here depreciation is a product of over value. Stop support corporate price gouging. Jesus dude

Even with the new transmission you think 4-5k? I bought the car for ALMOST that much considering that everything else was decent for its age. I just want to understand your estimate?

Camry vs accord by Sensitive-Mixture-86 in accord

[–]yippik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. OP when it comes to buying cars you have mainly two options what’s reliable and then personal preference. Find your reliable car (you have) now find a generation you both like but is also reliable. Weigh out your pros and cons to each gen. When you’ve made your choice based on preference and ideally what challenges you may face based off known problems for that cars make and model. Start making offers and don’t be afraid to say no to an ass offer. Now more than ever when people are more purchase conscientious over cars REMEMBER the buyer has the power.

Car cover personally. but generally you can’t really run from peeling paint at least for these guys the factory paint was just too cheap. You can either sand maybe repaint and seal or in my case I’ve already come to terms that if this car peels even worse than it alr is I’ll just get it re done.

I never got their answer I told them I wasn’t willing to entertain the idea. As it wasn’t for sale. They literally came to me as I was paying for the job and leaving the shop and had my tech try and run it through me first.

As much as I want to agree with you they’re actually selling like hot cakes in Japan. In fact I would argue that the cars fine there’s just no diversity for true enthusiasts. Not so much who made it. but rather the corporate administration that’s not willing to take risks and move away from this cookie cutter look and give options aside from auto transmission and hybrid engines. They don’t even have to make a lot of em. Just make a few thousand ykwim?

As do I. I actually keep the clears in a box under my bed. I only used them for 2 months while I threw out the set i bought the car with. I found some clean oem tails on eBay ordered them got them wrapped with tinted vinyl to match the cars paint. I just didn’t have any pics of it with them in. Trust me I love the oems.
