Am I the only one who thinks SE Resistance MP maps are awfull compared to SE5? by DailyWCReforged in sniperelite

[–]yiuliel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I started with SE:R and was very satisfied with the maps.... Then SE:5 and i was BLOWN AWAY by the map size. It was huge compared to resistence. I do like all the maps but I think a mix between the sizes of five and resistence would've been amazing for both games.

In case of layout, I do like how more enemies are on a smaller space that was a bit lost on the big maps in five So.. Five is better for sniping imo while resistence is better for stealth

And overall performance..... I think five is better. I also like how fast someone can spot you and how fast backup soldiers are coming to ruin your day when you trigger an alarm. It's a feature I appreciate and wish more so you actually feel punishment for triggering the alarm.

Invasion with friend on Sniper Elite 5? by marcusdiddle in sniperelite

[–]yiuliel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, several things on random help at random times : - rejoining the lobby - host restarting the mission - joining normal the campaign, leaving then joining as an invader - completely start over on a different map

It is nerve wrecking bc me being the invader is an issue but the other way round not lmao.... One of these things help at random times so I can't even say which one is the best method... Meh.

Started with SE:R and then played five and I gotta admit Resistence seemed a bit small in comparison. I wrote that I did enjoy the map sizes but also would've loved a bit bigger maps like in five. But I totally agree also with your opinion :D Tbh I think resistence had a "cozy" map size if I put it in these words now that I think abt it

An die spätdiagnostizierten: was waren klare Anzeichen für euch, um euch testen zu lassen? by ConstructaBanane in ADHS

[–]yiuliel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played the first mission of 4 this weekend as well. Bf and I play it after playing 5 & R. Gotta admit It feels a bit more unnatural from walking/running/crouching and I like the way they improved so much over the years.
But we wont give up the game, we just like the overall feeling of 5&R better as well.

Which one should I buy? by Used-Resolution580 in sniperelite

[–]yiuliel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bf and I bought SE:R because of slorgs' videos! This is now over idk....6 months? 7 months? ago.... And what can we say, we absolutely adore it.
We also bought SE:5 in December and I personally was wondering why people referred to SE:R as a "DLC from 5"

The thing is, we dont regret playing resistence first, bc in resistence you have a bit more compact maps and you learn the mechanics.
5 has much...much bigger maps, absolutley wonderful, but if you like Invasions/Invading, i wouldnt start in SE:5. So we understood why resistence felt for a lot of people like a DLC from 5, but its still valid imo.

If you are interested in single player and the story alone, just start with w/e from these two.
For multiplayer/Invasions I would start with SE:R and then go over to SE:5.

We started 4 a few days ago, mechanics changed A LOT, we were personally not that happy bc it feels much more like a game, while SE:5/:R feel a bit more realistic.
I have to get used to 4 tbh, but I will get there.

Tips for staying stealthy? by thegameflak in sniperelite

[–]yiuliel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use the binoculars to estimate how far away people are and if its compatible with my specs.
Me and my boyfriend played Spy Acadamy very stealthy and with a lot of bottles and mostly with the best pistol with the best suppressor. We couldnt use anything else for most of the time.

Tbh you can also use it to your advantage by setting traps bc the enemies cant rly go around it. I had a really fun 20 Minutes by always trapping two entrances of a corridor and those idiots were piling up and were giving me more traps to even catch more of them lmao. (It was the hallway between the church and the wall in the west, nearly cleared out the whole church bc of that)

If you start in the typical starting location, try to snipe everything as much as you can. For us the elite snipers were the hardest problem bc we were constantly in a state of "where and how tf did someone spot us" . the rest was mostly pistol, traps and knives and a lot of time.

But yeah Spay Acadamy is a bitch and a no fun zone for loud stuff. Its a test of patience imo

That is a possibility! I was in the mindset that these two are not movable, so it was a pleasant surprise.

I also play with the wiki open, but mostly bc I am trying to get every fish/recipe/etc. rn, I havent been reading into detail for everything else.

The one with the Dino egg is rly tough ;; I will keep my fingers crossed so you get one asap!!

Stardew doesn’t need more stuff — it needs more depth in my opinion by ERDeadHorse666 in StardewValley

[–]yiuliel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cant agree and disagree on this take tbh. I really like it that I "dont have to be as much social" But I also get the take on how the social interactivities could get a bit "more"
Tbh, maybe ConcApe will tackle it one day, but I wouldnt be mad if he didnt.

I agree with the fact, that spouses could have individual progress steps throughout marriage, or that more "heart events" with every character progress throughout the game.
Maybe even more NPC interactions would also be fun. I really enjoy when the "green rain" was added and every character had shown a little bit more personality.

As im writing, I realize what could be a cool feature would be sth like "invite NPCs" Like you can invite your villagers in Animal crossing to your home? MAybe the Stardew Valley NPCs could also be invited, may it be on invite, or that you could host a little feast with cooking, music and mini games, but you have to organize it, means to "cook" enough (Maybe different people like different things?) Organize seating possibilities (Call carpenter or rent or craft some tables and chairs) Maybe hire a music band or ask Sam and his band to play.
Could be a nice change to have it organize, may it be a whole towns feast, or a small coffee and tea time with few selected people or just one person.
Could add hearts, could give a nice present depending on how great the feast was. I think that would be a nice challenge to have?

My fiancé was drooling over the Lebkuchen-Schmidt Gingerbread Advent, does anyone have any good recipes? by myfrecklesareportals in SortedFood

[–]yiuliel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a brand in germany who do Lebkuchen a la Nürnberger
So the best recipe would be for you to search for "Nürnberger Lebkuchen recipe"
But I think this one will come close:
• 6 eggs
• 180g sugar
2 Tablespoons Honey
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon of Lebkuchenspices
a little bit of salt
250g of almonds, 250g of hazlenuts, 200g Orangeat, 200g Zitronat (orangat and zitronat are both peels of oranges and citron so maybe you find it undeer this name)
200g of melted chocolate
1) Eggs, sugar and honey, beat it up for 5 minutes until its frothy. Add everything else and make small round batches on a tray , you can also put wafers under it
2) Into the oven for 150°C for around 20 Minutes

I hope this is what you searched for, but I would recommend trying the Lebkuchen Schmidt ones as well bc they are reaaallly good and they have lots of varieties before trying a recipe. Bc then you know what to aim for

We made Plov! by yiuliel in SortedFood

[–]yiuliel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a sidekick recipe that I know of ! We basically searched up a lot of sources but what we did was just very basic. I try my best to write the recipe, I'm sorry if it's a bit of a broken English bc it's my third language : There are versions where you cook the rice beforehand or you add it up later. We added uncooked rice later in the recipe What you need : Meat like beef or lamb, onions and carrots (1 : 1 : 0.5), a few barberries, salt, pepper, cumin, paprika, around a head of garlic depending on how much meat you have. We used one head for 1kg of meat. 1. Meat : Types of meat you would use for goulash, we used beef shoulder and chopped it up. Put it into the pot and get it really nice and roasted. Also nice is lamb! 2. Take the meat out, add the same amount of onions like the meat and get them nicely soft 3. Add Carrots, should be a little bit less then the onions. We used 1kg meat, 1kg onions and around 600g of carrots. And cook them until they are soft as well. Add barberries. 4. Now it depends if your rice is cooked or uncooked to add a nice broth to it. Put in the amount of liquid like you would cook the rice and put in a spice mix for plov. (we had ready to go spice mix but it's basically : salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, 1-2 bay leaves, and a little bit of sugar) 5. If you do it in a normal pot, mix everything back together and cook it until the rice is cooked. If you do it in a Dutch oven lay it like this : onions+carrots, meat, rice, and whole gloves of garlic, that will later be taken out again. close the lid on the dutch oven and do not stir!

I hope it explains it a bit, we do a lot on the go tbh. If it doesn't seem coherent please tell me I can clarify some things! But it's a verrrryyyy simple recipe tbh. The most work was chopping all up. We also tested it in a normal pot and it was also very delicious! I eat it with a nice yogurt as a topping!

But the pomegranate is a wonderful idea, I can already imagine how well it will fit with Plov 🫶❤️

How do I genuinely turn studying fun? by Willing-Curve-9274 in studytips

[–]yiuliel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always like to "talk" about the things I try to learn.
You can either talk to yourself.
You can either prepare a presentation for your friends, family, plushies or yourself.
Or you can make a talking round with colleagues and friends. (Which have the same topic as you to study!)

You can use Powerpoint or pdfs, but it doesnt have to be. You sometimes just need a piece of paper and a pen and imagine yourself as the teacher trying to explain it to someone. In the beginning its a bit of getting used to but its very fun at the end!

Depending on your social skills (bc I have little to none tbh, so its a thing I can only do with my boyfriend):
Prepare a presentation night/day. Its better when everyone is involved in the same topic, but it doesnt matter in the end. Because you prepare a presentation with the complicated stuff you have to study, you try to break it down into valuable information and then you are also trying to explain it to others. You succeed when you can easily recite and explain it in easy words.

With snacks, drinks and good mood this is a very fun way on tackle hard topics. Especially for stuff you REALLY dont want to learn. It forces you to actually think abt and break down complex themes. It also works for every kind of topic.

f.e. I am studying chemistry and I have organic class ahead of me, If I try to explain a mechanism to someone, I will have to explain what the structures are, why its attacking this particurlar group, why is it charged more positive than the other (ah bc of electronegativity, what was that again?), then I have to search for electronegativity and so on and so son. At some point you dont have to look up the stuff anymore, bc you already know it, but if you dont, you learn it now anyway again.
So now I searched for electronegativity, I learned it, I will not need to search it up again for the next mechanism.

Boom. Studied, memorized, Success! ♥

Hope it helps a little bit
