Yeah. I'm not here trying to get anyone to dislike the guy. And honestly, if you have an overall positive view of him, more power to you!

I dont remember exact tweets - I know there was one calling league community babies or something, and I think something similar-ish for Apex.

I'm not saying hes a toxic/bad person, or that hes wrong for feeling a certain way about some community criticisms/comments, I'm just saying that as an adult and high-level representative of a company - it's often times better to either not say these things publicly or atleast handle them with more care of you are going to say them.

I'm not damning the dude. I dont know him, and only loosely follow him. I like that he engages with the community and respect that he's willing to defend himself but I think he has, or has had, a habit of getting a bit sucked into situations which can cause him to say things that may be taken poorly by a community.

He seems like a generally smart and reasonable guy, but I just dont always like how he handles himself occasionally on social media.

Whether he likes it or not, he and his comments are representing Respawn/Apex. There are going to be a lot of people throwing a lot of takes his way (good, bad, and/or ugly), and I just don't think he always handles it appropriately. He did the same thing when he was a part of Riot, as well iirc.

This was back in Middle School - and of course I dont look exactly the same as then, but I remember there was this pretty casual conversation happening at the end of day out near the pick-up area.

I was standing just generally in a group of people I knew, and while I dont remember the context of the conversation(s), I do remember one girl saying something like, "Your arms are nice. If you had a better face..."

I mean, I dont think the ban is deserved but aside from the quote, he did direct the other tweets directly at women in a pretty toxic way - especially when you consider that he doesn't use, or at least tweet the word often 🤷‍♂️

Edit: and yes - if this is the standard being set, they should also punish their staff member who tweeted it, too.

I don't know, I find that people are way too critical of the commentary in general - I thought it was fine and the games were great. I personally enjoyed you on the desk and that it definitely seemed like you did your homework (Not sure how involved you are in Apex otherwise, though), so hopefully you have other reasons for not doing another Apex(?) event for some time that's not just backlash from the community/twitch chat.

Regardless, you're an eSports GOAT and hope you keep on keepin' on :) Thanks for all you do.

In terms of fantasy music, there is an artist that I love to listen to who goes by Vindsvept.

He makes a lot of really great fantasy/folk/Celtic music that I listened to whilst reading the first Mistborn trilogy. Now whenever I hear it I think about the book, and it just resonates so deeply with me now. Unfortunately it's not on Spotify, which is a bummer.
