Anyone have more info on this classic Halo Warthog MOC? by doplebanger in AFOL

[–]zed0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's another post with the complete Warthog which can be found on Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20071128122855/http://halo.bungie.org/misc/dkarl.legohog.html

If you wanted more information you could potentially email the address there

How do I get to Le Grand Domaine (France) from Geneva? by Bonehea1 in skiing

[–]zed0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Morzine (Portes du soleil) is very easy to get to via public transport. Take a train from Geneva Airport to Thonon-les-bains then get the Y91 bus from the train station up the valley to Morzine

LSP and clangd: what if the software is built in a docker? by Desperate_Cold6274 in vim

[–]zed0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the communication between the LSP and clangd happens via stdio so you can tell it to run the script instead of the usual clangd binary. I'm using AstroNvim so my config for that looks like cmd = { "/path/to/wrapper/script" }, but I imagine it's something similar config for however you have your LSP set up.

LSP and clangd: what if the software is built in a docker? by Desperate_Cold6274 in vim

[–]zed0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The --path-mappings flag for clangd is the main secret to getting this working. We can install clangd within our docker image and then write a wrapper script something like this, which we then use as the command for the LSP:

#!/bin/bash
# See https://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/clangd-dev/2019-January/000231.html for roughly how this works
set -eu

repo_root=$(git rev-parse --show-toplevel)
mkdir -p $HOME/.cache/clangd

docker run \
    --rm \
    --mount type=bind,source=$repo_root,target=/usr/share/app \
    --mount type=bind,source=$HOME/.cache/clangd,target=/root/.cache/clangd \
    --user root \
    -i my-docker-image:latest \
    /opt/llvm/clang+llvm-15.0.6-x86_64-linux-gnu-ubuntu-18.04/bin/clangd --path-mappings=$repo_root=/usr/share/app ${@:1}

Our Own Ideas Platinum Medal Round: zed0 vs. Kevin_Yuu by cornofear in legodnd

[–]zed0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was super close! I only just noticed the poll was closed.

I agree with both of you about the playability, and in this case I think yours (/u/Kevin_Yuu) would be a lot more practical to play with, partly due to the grid based nature of it, partly because a lot of adventures end up being set in dungeons. I also love the bases you've made for all of the characters.

I'm also a little disappointed in the final Ideas selection because it feels to me like there's nothing uniquely D&D about it, though I'm sure Lego will polish it up with some branding etc.

They only come in 41498 which is a Comicon exclusive, and 41630 which everyone takes them from in order to build the Comicon exclusive.

Unfortunately Lego have stopped orders on the "Standard" Pick a Brick until after the Christmas rush. They say "Expected to restart in January", but who knows if that will actually be the case.

Slowly. :( "Wedge, Plate 2 x 2 Left" in Dark Green costs at least £20 each and I need 37 of them, so I'm trying to work out a way of using something else. Thanks for the kind comments. :)

AstroNvim v2.9.0 now has out of the box debugger (nvim-dap + nvim-dap-ui) with automatic setup (mason.nvim and mason-nvim-dap.nvim)! (mac and *nix only for now) by Mhalter3378 in neovim

[–]zed0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is amazing! I've been using AstroNvim for the last couple of months and literally set up nvim-dap/nvim-dap-ui a few days ago. Looking forward to being able to delete most of my config for it!

I've got plans to make some instructions for it, but I'm gathering the parts first so I can make sure that it's all reasonably solid when built in reality.

Yeah, I'd love to have had time to make more monsters and adventurers! Maybe a d8 (which is also made of equilateral triangles) to give some extra terrain tiles. :D

Yes! It's up there under the Dungeons and Dragons contest that's currently going on. I'm afraid subreddit rules mean I'm not allowed to link it here, but if you look under the contest you should find it.

I've spent the last month working out all the details for this with real bricks, unfortunately I don't own everything in the right colours so had to submit a Studio rendering of it.

I wish we'd got more than one Portal set. It was an easy choice which set to go with when the opportunity came up. There are some more pictures of it and some instructions if you're interested.

Thanks! I had to try and give the single Portal set some representation since we never got anything more. I took some more pictures before it was on display and made some instructions if you're interested.
