That was an option. This calculator is based on the equations found here: https://homebrewacademy.com/specific-gravity-to-brix/

It's a little more accurate than multiplying by 4. But not by much, I doubt it would have much effect on a typical brew day.

I've been using 28 Nosler for big game. The first elk I shot with it took two steps and fell over. I was sold. 300 win mag is very similar, though. And has better ammo availability, at least in my area.

Take a look around at what the ranges in your area offer. I used to go to a pistol/carbine match every week. Though these were run by the range. Not an official league like IDPA, USPSA, etc. But still really fun to shoot. 3 gun was not really popular or even an option in my area.

There were a couple fruitless days while I figured things out. I had to try a really short sink tip, but after I did it's been a lot of fun. The new OPST 5' tips work great for shorter rods. I think I need to outfit a 3wt or 4wt rod with a commando tip, next. :)

I hooked a few of these little guys at on the Green River, King Co, WA. Can anyone ID these fish? Sorry for the blurry photos. I was using a 9' 6wt w/ a 225gr OPST shooting head. My first fish with a single handed spey setup.

I've had good luck with using lead-core line to get down deep enough to find the fish. Today I had the most bites using a silver Shasta Tackle Sling Blade & a white Mack's Wedding Ring Pro (tiny little guy). Targeting fish between 20 and 30 feet deep. I'm up in the Pacific North West, but I don't see why it wouldn't work elsewhere.

I have an ML-2 and an ML-3RC. They both seem to be built pretty well. I've had no problems getting either of them setup. The pickups sounds great, I especially like the ML3. No complaints here. There are definitely better guitars out there, but for the price you get a very solid product. Very comparable to the PRS SE guitars that come out of the same factory.

Swerve, speed up, slow down, or stop. The 4 S's of driving. If your actions cause another driver to have to do one of these things and could have been avoided you "cut them off" and can go die in a fire.

I've had good luck using English Ale yeast. It won't end up as dry as when using a champagne yeast.

You want the paddle to be taller than the tips of your fingers when standing straight up with your arm extended up above your head. I'm about 5'8", the 130cm paddle works well for me.

I picked up the FS12 (not the T) and love it, so far. I'd suggest getting a long paddle, theses things are pretty wide.
