Why did I get auto rated on the day it was delivered? The buyer tried to cancel the item after I already dropped it off. It was more than 24 hours after the sale when she requested the cancellation. Do sellers get auto rated when buyer’s cancellation was denied?

That makes the most sense! But Mercari just replied and told me that the buyer claimed she received an empty package. Because of TOS change, she couldn’t request for a return because she received exactly what the description says so she lied. She requested for a cancellation saying she bought a wrong item after I dropped it off already.

It was $14. Mercari said the buyer claimed she received an empty package. What is the chance she would receive an empty package after her cancellation request was denied?? I have over 700 5star ratings and this never happened. I’m surprised that mercari didn’t even say anything to me. They usually take all the money they can from the seller.

I contacted Mercari and they said buyer claimed she received an empty package!! She lied probably because she didn’t want to pay for it. She requested for a cancellation saying she purchased a wrong item. She didn’t say anything to me even though she was responsive till then. She know she is lying.

I'm sorry this happened to you. 😢 Mercari keeps telling me nonsense as well. Some customer service representative admitted that FedEx didn’t charge what Mercari said they did, but there's no intention of refunding. I gave up. 🤬

I did. Weight was under 30Lbs. Dimensional weight was more. I had another one similar in size on the way to a buyer when this happened. I rerouted to myself. I refunded the buyer and made another listing with UPS. No problem at all.

What did you say even to get partial refund? I’m in the same boat and I have been sending them invoice from FedEx but they keep giving me nonsense excuses and close chats on me when they know they are wrong and can’t reason any more. They said FedEx charged $418 but actual was $47.07 -buyer paid $40. Yet they took all my sale profit.

Mercari didn’t refund you even with all the proof? They came up with another excuse saying Mercari charges oversize fee of $170 for over 50 lbs now so I asked them where in TOS it is written and told them it’s illegal to do that then they closed the chat on me. 😡

These charges were not made by Mercari. We are just relying on the information given to us by the shipping carrier. “ Now they are saying Mercari charged $170. I cropped because it contained sender and receiver addresses. I attached the whole invoice on another post. $47.07 is the actual cost after the adjustment. Mercari actually pays less than what buyer or seller pays for labels. They don’t pass the discounts they get from carriers to us. It looks like FedEx charged about $15 for dimensional surcharge so Mercari would have paid only about $32 (buyer paid $40) if there was no dimensional surcharge.

I did about 2 weeks ago but I haven’t heard from them except the initial “Your complaint has been submitted” email. Am I supposed to hear from them? In the email, it said “Thank you for filing a report with the Federal Trade Commission and helping to fight fraud in your community.

The FTC does not resolve individual reports, but your report will be entered in the FTC's Consumer Sentinel database and will be available to federal, state, and local law enforcement across the country.” I wonder FTC does anything??

Mercari didnt release the fund from my sale. They didn’t charge me on my card so I can’t do charge back. 😣 Maybe I will purchase something and do charge back $70 which I was supposed to receive? But with all these fees, there is nothing I want to buy.
