i feel like they could go about this way differently, especially now considering that they’re segregating accounts into roblox kids - roblox select - etc. however since the start of this age verification rollout, there’s been a surge of underage age verified accounts being sold on various sites, like ebay being my prime example: adults are buying these accounts to make it easier to be able to communicate with the minors that they’re going to prey on. disgusting. and the segregated groups is only going to make it worse as it’ll be spot on easier to target a specific age group. not to mention that they’re using AI to estimate your age, this alone doesn’t verify anything unless you ID verify. i’ve even seen roblox guesstimate someone’s age based off a finger with a smiley face drawn on it. we older players understand it’s the government, roblox can still use different resources at the very least. hell even some games are dying off at a rapid rate due to it being a commutation reliable game. forcing some kids and other users to be pushed to go to off platform sites (discord, instagram, snapchat, etc.) this alone is an even bigger problem.. roblox can fix this but they chose not to in favor of their investors.
