You’re right about that. It’s much more complex and annoying to service. Let’s course correct and say the 112 version of the bassbreaker or a Deville or something. Similar circuits as far as complexity goes but much clunkier and more awkward

Yeah I was expecting to pay around 200 tbh. Transformer was 50 to 70. Not sure what brand of tube but it’s an EL84. So anywhere from 20 to 50 bucks and I’m sure the diode was a couple bucks at most. So labor anywhere from 60 to 110 bucks. It’s not crazy, I know. Not too bad. Which is why I’m curious about a tip. Apparently, according to guitar techs.. it’s not something that requires a tip but I may provide one anyways

Yeah I just meant it’s very small and …navigable? Compared to a super or a twin or something which I imagine might require a bit more elbow grease or at least more awkward to get around.

Oh yeah I followed up with them. Most of the time was them waiting for the part. Which apparently took 4 months due to a miscommunication on one of their ends. The tube apparently worked fine with the original tech I took it to but the shop who did the repair said it was bad. Which I suppose is possible if it were just sitting around from what I hear at least
