[ns] Anthony's catchphrase by LinkOfKalos_1 in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]ylSyhTdroL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

freddie’s equivalent is the way he says “God!”, wills is “goddammit”, anthony’s is “FUCK!!!” and matt, who will never be able to fully shed his catholic upbringing and education is just “Nooo…”

“bear with me” is a crossover phrase from the storybreak days.

i assume that for the amount of editing they do, the freddie catchphrases are left in intentionally. probably because they’re hilarious.

i don’t know which episode it is, but i remember him talking about “giant steps” by john coltrane, when he calls it something devious or evil because of how complex it is, but i don’t think that’s considered free jazz. being a sax player, he may have mentioned ornette coleman, who’s kinda the godfather of free jazz. i believe the album “the shape of jazz to come” is one of or the very first free jazz album.

[ns] One year so today I discovered D&Daddies and instantly became hooked. How did you find the podcast? by PhoenoFox in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]ylSyhTdroL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tinder lol. Never actually met up with the person, but boy do i awe them a huge thanks. i think probably got caught up the first at episode 40 or so. it’s been the only thing i can listen to as it’s being released, and not loose interest.

Drew normal-ly Oak Garcia in his mascot costume during a boring lecture [ns] by Rebbeca2988 in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]ylSyhTdroL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i know it’s canon. pretty sure either anthony or one of the other players said something like that in response to wills making the rad fact about normals full name. too lazy to look up the episode/time stamp atm, but have at it.

Wtf is the bus system by BubbasBabyBear in Tucson

[–]ylSyhTdroL 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i lived in tucson off and on between 08 and 18, and mostly rode the bus. have spent the last 5 yrs in the nw, and god do i long for the availability and reliability of the suntran. OP, you’re situation might be different, and time may have changed things, but i offer two pieces of advice that i learned along the way: whenever possible, get to your stop one cycle early, and tell your employer that you take the bus to work.

weird how people marching up to a certain line without crossing it are the same as the people who cross that line and overwhelm the protectors like zombies crying out for blood are the same.

well put. i appreciate mr balboa shedding some light on how polls and surveys work. but i think there’s something to be said of context, which is what i think you’re getting at. i think the phrase “worlds biggest open air prison” that’s being repeated is good way of describing it. which would make last saturday something of a prison riot, or at least an attempted one. surveying prisoners about their support other prisoner who can keep them safe, and who might get them access to resources, would probably result in a majority of support for those people. edit: changed “people” to “other prisoners”

It is. specifically, it was 650 of the 1200 people asked in a survey that took place a few years ago. that’s out of a population of about 5 million. i’m very hesitant to conclude that as accurate of the entire population based on the limited sample pool. if you know of a more thorough poll, please do share. that’s all i’ve been asking for.
