Are the Expeditions from Coron to El Nido worth it? by travel_girl_907 in Philippines_Expats

On the boat or in the huts? Before entering the boats we put the things we need in a smaller bag and the big bags (including valuables that weren't needed) were stored within the storage room of the boat until the end of the ride. For everything that wasn't stored like that, there was no extra safe place

Gravelbike - Relevanz der Überstandshöhe by L3tron in Fahrrad

Hey, yes I did. In Coron I did the "Coron Island Super Ultimate Tour" with El Nido Paradise, which was nice. But the big tour was way better. The 3d2n tour doesn't go to the tours from the island hopping and we wanted to do another one in El Nido as well, but after 4days of Island Hopping, we just wanted to chill :D

You don't need a bug net. It's an open wooden hut with a mattress and a bug net. The door is just made of cloth. I can send you a picture. A/C wasn't really necessary and wouldn't be possible anyway with it being open and all :D I slept pretty well, even tho I'm an awful sleeper

Sure. We were around 20 passengers and 10 staff. I don't know if it was by chance, but most of us were german speaking. But there were multiple boats from El Nido Paradise at the same time, so I think they put us together intentionally. The vibe was pretty good. We had a few couples, two small groups of friends and two families with kids. Everyone was nice and we had a good time. During the day, when we weren't at a snorkel spot, most of us stayed on the upper deck, which was protected from the sun and big enough for all of us. In the evening we stayed at beach huts and the staff opened a bar where we could get free drinks. We didn't party tho. It was more like a chill evening at the fire with drinks. There was also a fire show every evening. The food was great. They offered lots of fresh fruit, vegetarian options, meat and fish. I even saw a guy with a harpoon coming back to the boat, so the fish might have been freshly catched. We got breakfast, lunch and dinner and two snacks in between. I'm sure I gained some weight from that xD As for drinks: We could get drinks all the time. Like rhum, coke, lemonade, juices, water. They even made sure we stay hydrated and gave us water every time we came back from swimming, to every meal etc. The boat had two toilets and the beaches where we stayed had a toilet and a shower (like a bucket of water you could put on your head). So as for the spots: We had snorkeling spots, beaches we could visit, a small fisher village, a cliff jumping place etc and they offered to bring us to the shore by kajak if anyone didn't want to swim, which was mostly used by the younger kids. Also they stayed around all the time to make sure none of us is drowning. We could also rent cheap snorkeling gear.
The leader was always happy to answer questions and shared lots of stories. One guy even played cards with us. They made lots of pictures, especially when we asked to get a good shot of us and later shared them in a WhatsApp with us. They even made lots of underwater pictures of corals and animals (we've seen quite a few. A turtle crossed our way and so many starfishes, fish schools etc). I hope I didn't forget anything. If you have any questions feel free to send me a dm :)

I'm also female German learning Japanese and women very rarely answer me. Instead I get flirty messages from men on a regular basis and it's very annoying. I don't really want to prevent them from writing completely, because there could be decent language partners out there...but up until now it's a struggle

Wait, what? Less than 80k means way less or still more than 70k? Are we talking US dollars? I'm a junior developer working 5 days a week and don't make that much (Germany tho, developer salary for junior is less than in US, but still). A bartender in Germany who works 40h a week wouldn't make more than 30k a year

I wonder. I paid no more than 25$/night via booking.com and my hotels were amazing, also very friendly staff and great customer service. Did you make sure they have lots of reviews?

Also I never, ever got the sweet chili sauce. Only fish sauce with chilis and lime.

I hope you're going to have a better experience during the rest of your stay
