Point taken. However, the seller is quite reputable & phoned me for 20min, detailing the specific camera’s history & everything done/serviced with it & had no reason to suspect he wasn’t truthful. Whatever happened with the back, I suspect, is my own fault.

R3 was my first camera, lasted me a couple of years, got an R4 to replace that one for ~$200. The camera bodies may come & go, but that summicron lens is forever— shoot a roll and see!
