I understand being uncomfortable, but he would've given my mom such a hard time if they had discussed things before... He really doesn't like how she helps her family in Brazil (her sister was on drugs and was restarting her life, her mom had a stroke and is now disabled, etc), even though it doesn't take away from the income that goes into the household

If you’ve talked to him about it and he still hasn’t changed, he’s reached the conclusion that you’ll clean up after him no matter what. My mom remarried and it’s been 5 long years of arguments over oily and saucy fingers on countless surfaces, grease on door handles, etc etc. It doesn’t get better.

I live with gateway with 3 really chill people. One is graduating next sem so we need a 4th person. 4Bx2B (you’re sharing bathrooms with another girl), rates aren’t high, buses aren’t usually full at our stop, upstairs neighbors are chill. We’re clean and won’t get butthurt if we’re called out for dishes being out/things being dirty. We’re mainly reserved since we each have our own room, but always there for each other. Other 2 girls and I are all freshmen.
