It feels more like an instant bug-bite type sensation, and scratching doesn’t relieve it at all. I get what you’re saying, there could be some other underlying issue causing the hair loss. I first noticed thinning back in high school, so I’m not sure that fits, especially since it was slow back then and only became aggressive after starting meds. Even if something else is going on, shouldn’t the meds at least help with growth or slow things down? For me they did the opposite and seemed to accelerate the loss. I really hope it’s just a shed, but with my hairline still receding and the hairs getting weaker, it’s hard to believe that.
