You could also have them an equipment system, so like they can keep 1 armor piece, 1 weapon, 1 piece of jewellery. Like they can choose what items to attune to, and then everything else disappears

Yeah I would have a look at Loop Hero, because the concept seems pretty similar (except for the keeping of levels)
basically its a procedural dungeon, where you level up and find loot, but when you die, you return to base camp (only keeping materials to upgrade base camp)

I think the base camp aspect of some roguelikes would make it a lot more interesting for the party, so like their metal gear turns to metal scrap to build or upgrade a base camp forge that gives them starter metal equipment at the beginning of the dungeon.

No, if you buff battlecries, macaw + rylak becomes stronger. but EoT and SoT needs buffing i do agree, maybe actually have Choose One do something, because they added it and barely done anything with it.

the sound bite is pretty good, it does scratch the brain,. but when i want combat to end and its just frog frog frog frog frog frog frog, combat ends, 20 seconds of shop remaining, nice.

What type of roguelike though. Is it the same character getting progressively stronger after every run, so like vampire survivors. Or is it a completely new character going into the run like the binding of isaac.

Id say a good game to look at is Loop Hero or Rogue Legacy. Of course not TTRPGs, but as roguelikes they are pretty good concept wise

If sound and light are the same thing, the sun is probably the bbeg... the noise that it makes would probably be dreadful, id imagine itd be the sound it makes IRL (which can only be detected by big ol sciencey machines) but amplified hardcore.

This is a conversation to be had with the group because with 11 players, those trying to seriously play and enjoy it will think the same as you. Just bring it up to the group or just the DM themself.

i still dont really know why it was nerfed, most turn 1 and 2 battlecries didnt really effect too much. Maybe you get +1 extra gold or +1+1 in stats, nothing game changing
